SIO497: The Mamdani Machine Exposed! Part 2
Part 2 of Asra Nomani's insanely terrible Fox News article. Make sure you listened to part 1!
This is big, folks. Think Watergate combined with Deflate-gate combined with Christina Applegate combined with the Bowling Green Massacre. THAT's how big of a scandal this is.
You thought Zohran Mamdani was just an innocent 34 year old assemblyman who rose to stardom by being an incredibly good candidate and relentless campaigning an economic message in a positive way. But you were an idiot. Dummy.
Asra Nomani broke it here, but let Jenessa and I explain it to you because clearly your feeble, gullible brain can't process. information properly.

0:00:12 Thomas: And welcome to Serious Inquiries Only. This is episode 497. I'm Thomas Smith, and this is a long, chonky part two. I was gonna make it a part two and a part three, but I figured, ah, I'll make it one big one for you all. Hopefully uh, this kind of explains why I had trouble getting this done in the time that I thought I'd get it done. It's still technically election day, but sadly, it is probably after voting, but that's okay. Hopefully, you had enough to know about the Mamdani machine. We're going to go even more into it with Jenessa, deep some related stuff, like did a Muslim mayor tell a Christian to go F himself and get out of town just for being a Christian? And once there any connection of any of this to Zoran Mamdani well get out your yarn you may need a lot of it we continue to go through this really stupid fox news article written by Azra Nomani make sure you listen to part one and thank you so much for listening and supporting patreon.com/seriouspod that's where you can avoid the ads support stuff like this. Right, we're going to take a break and then I'll be back with Jenessa.
0:01:26 Thomas: Now this is where, Where, unfortunately, feel like my wife was far too sympathetic to this because Azra Nomani did is she created a Google spreadsheet. Lydia was like, well, at least there's a Google Spreadsheet. That's nice. It's like, yeah, but it's fucking bullshit. Shit. A database of 110 groups backing Mamdani exposes a tight inner circle, tight inner circle? Group? Okay. Of organizations that identify as Muslim or socialist working hand in glove with the 76 Party affiliates, allied groups and unions? What? What?
0:01:33 Jenessa: Know spreadsheet of what
0:01:58 Thomas: That's a lot of numbers to be a secret tight inner circle.
0:01:58 Jenessa: I feel like um and socialists and democratic party affiliates allied groups question mark and unions um I don't know what those all have in common that would make Make them a singular, like,
0:02:15 Thomas: Well, supporting the candidate. It's just this is who would be supporting any. I shouldn't say any, for but for the most part, most likely in a close race, they would be supporting whoever the Democratic candidate was. This is just all this article is doing. All Azra and Amani is doing is looking at people who say they support Mamdani and then crime conspiracy and saying like well that look at that that's a that's one of the shadowy backers it's like like I I think they're just gonna vote for my thing I think that's that's all that is yeah
0:02:43 Jenessa: It just, it has the causal circle all backwards. It's like, no, why are those groups all connected? Because they support the candidate. Like happened after the fact, guys. Like, I don't think the teacher, I don't know if the teacher's union is endorsing him, but like, I Don't think the teacher union knew about the guy. And we're like, we got to find a socialist Muslim and make him run New York City like that's it's no
0:03:08 Thomas: You know who's the perfect candidate for our secret plots someone no one has fucking heard of you rather use your money for somebody who's like a promise I was gonna say that earlier and I forget if I did this doesn't don't find a nobody like they find a jeb bush they find like big money goes behind somebody who has actually been in the stupid system forever and is predictable and has made a lot of the connections with the big money. That's why they back fucking Jeb Bush. That's fucking Bloomberg, although he was mainly backing himself. And backing backing someone who's a safe bet for the status quo for the most part.
0:03:37 Jenessa: It's why you always find out that like this person's dad or uncle has been in politics so you know their aunt is super rich whatever like
0:03:47 Thomas: I'm trying to figure out what the spreadsheet Have you? Have you. You
0:03:53 Jenessa: It just a database of people who donated to
0:03:55 Thomas: But it's also it's also donations not to him it's donations to like other entities
0:04:01 Jenessa: Like pax that did a commercial basically yeah
0:04:04 Thomas: And then so this has endorsements of mom Donnie like okay that doesn't matter okay
0:04:10 Jenessa: Like I would expect the teachers union is I'm I gonna hazard a guess that they're endorsing him because they don't like cuomo because of all the testing stuff he did that's my guess if they endorsed see of the spreadsheets is titled dollars to sorsor's m power so if m power this is what they've done that's all messed up uh m power I think donated to him so now they have a spreadsheet of whoever donated to srsor's m power and they're treating it like that person therefore donated to him yeah
0:04:43 Thomas: I see that's where the bottom line amount is 2 .371 million. I if that's where they're getting the $2 million. Okay, that's not exactly the same. Is so silly. Like the work that is done to make something seem like dark money. Are fractions of what real dark money is. I mean, this Is just nothing. Thing like 2 .3 million for their annual like oh no that's not even annual that's oh my god that's like through back to like 2018 this is a shoestring budget organization come on I mean you you've done some work in this kind of thing right if in five years you've had 2. 3 million in donations that's like I mean it's it's not nothing but But that's fucking that's not big money.
0:05:14 Jenessa: Excuse yeah especially if you well it looks like I don't even know if these all operate out of new york city but if you operate out in New York city that doesn't even pay your rent
0:05:32 Thomas: They don't know. Yeah, they don't. A lot of them are from other places, but it's it this is just such small money. I mean, if it's so funny to even think this was anything requires you to have never heard of the Republican Party. Like you've just never you have no concept of what the actual money in politics is in any way.
0:05:53 Thomas: I mean one fucking donation eclipses this on the other side. Like it's not even close.
0:05:58 Jenessa: It's it's really hard to read this and get into a mindset of like Like, what do I have to forget about the world for this to make sense? Because it's like, I a list of people, and you won't believe what they have in common. They donated to this candidate. How did I make this list? It's people who donated to the candidate. Like, 100 % of the people on that list donated to The Candidate because it's a list of people who donated to The candidate. Like, I don't even know what you're doing here. It's,
0:06:24 Thomas: Yeah. So now let's keep going. So this is 110 groups backing Mamdani. That just means endorsing? The database, it just talks about endorsements. So like, okay, that's nothing. Like how Mom Donnie, who you're alleging is you're like fucking Manchurian candidate machine candidate. Replace him with generic Democrat. We to believe that none of these organizations would endorse the Democrat like this is all a conspiracy?
0:06:51 Jenessa: All of them plus some would have endorsed him.
0:06:53 Thomas: Yeah, that's true. That's absolutely true. So just the 14 degrees of not even Kevin Bacon, we're at a database of 110 groups backing Mamdani, which would have happened anyway, exposes a tight inner circle of organizations. And I know what that means now. That's, as you said, M -Power and M -Gage, which One is M as in the letter M, M Power, and the other is E -M -Gauge. I don't know what the other one is. I don' t know what it is exactly. Exactly. Hand in glove with 76 Democratic Party affiliates, ally groups and unions. What are they doing? So what we're talking about when we get the two point five million. This is so funny. Sarsour's empower organizations and another constellation of groups called M gauge. Page are the notable ones these organizations the author says
0:07:38 Jenessa: Wait, wait. A piece missing there. Sarsour's M -Power Organizations and another constellation of groups called M -Gage with which she works closely.
0:07:41 Thomas: With which we should yeah
0:07:49 Jenessa: Not with which... She's not the organizer. She just...
0:07:53 Thomas: What's the proof for that we've got a link and of works closely so with which she hyperlinked works closely. Of that is nothing. It's a PDF. That she is not in that control F, nothing comes up. Scanned I've through the whole document just visually. I don't see her. I don't see any involvement with her. Maybe I'm missing something, but it's certainly not fucking obvious, whatever it is. I don't see anything here. So she works closely and the is no proof. You might as well just hyperlink it and have it go to fucking never going to give you up. Might as well be a rickroll.
0:08:03 Jenessa: It's a document she's not in. I can't tell you how many times am I researching something for this show and that happens and I'm like, I don't know. I'm going to die. Why? You can't just hyperlink something and therefore that's evidence. Like always always always click the link because sometimes it just links to like 404 error and you won't find the evidence anywhere and it's infuriating I this is the part where I'm gonna lose my mind this this is where it goes out of control okay I
0:08:56 Thomas: What's that? This is where it goes out of control. Okay.
0:09:00 Jenessa: It was already bad but this is Where It Gets Really Bad because we have uh attempt to tie it together and then a response from the organizations the organization so we're presumably referring to m power and m gauge the organizations have been generously funded and so generous
0:09:14 Thomas: Generously funded. Me remind you that the organization, let me go back to that real quick. Quick, just to remind you of the context, the super PAC that opposed Zoran and supported Cuomo, 40 million in one second, you know, like for one little election. Now, what is the, now that I've paused you, we can go ahead and hit unpause. What is generously funded now?
0:09:30 Jenessa: In billionaire george soros's open society philanthropies have given m power and m gauge nearly 2 .5 million in recent years according to tax filings
0:09:50 Thomas: In recent years. That's five years. I didn't even catch that until I looked at the spreadsheet. That's for five years. Is five years worth of donations. They found 2 .31 million in the one. And then I guess, I think maybe the M gauge, maybe that is where they get to 2 .5. I am not even, nearly 2. 5. Well, I am seeing numbers that are bigger than that in terms of their full funding. So, I do not know if like, I guess if they just picked the Soros, five years, yeah.
0:10:04 Jenessa: Get nearly 2 .5 well this is just from just from billionaire george soros 2. 5 million I don't I what part like 0 .1 percent of his money I guess it's
0:10:24 Thomas: I mean, it is a little bit. Then you wanted to continue on from there.
0:10:29 Jenessa: That is gonna make me have a stroke we
0:10:32 Thomas: We got a quote from those action from open society. So just to clarify, we
0:10:35 Jenessa: They what do you have to say for yourselves and the response we fund a range of civil society organizations that work to deepen civic engagement through peaceful democratic participation counter discrimination against muslim americans and and Advance Human Rights, a spokesperson for Open Society Foundations told Fox News Digital, the grants that you cite all occurred years before the mayoral race, and we are a nonpartisan organization that does not fund political candidates and their campaigns. So, yes,
0:11:12 Thomas: I love that like this reads as though sometime after the fact, like, like Azra Nomani wrote this article. This reads like someone at Fox News who still wants to technically be called a journalist was like, well, we have to reach out for comment, right? And like they inserted this in and reads like this information never got to Azra Nomani. It's like, we called them and they said, this is stupid and you're an idiot. Anyway, moving on.
0:11:30 Jenessa: It truly. Truly all of this what is even the purpose of any of this is to try to tie george soros to mum donnie because it's soros his found not him his foundation which to this other foundation which is run by Linda Sarsour and I think maybe those those foundations.
0:11:55 Thomas: Well, and one may or may not have close ties to her. We have no proof because we were linked to a PDF that has nothing the fuck to do with it.
0:12:03 Jenessa: And at least the one that we think she's involved in, I haven't checked that one either, has, I think, donated to Mamdani?
0:12:13 Thomas: Don't even know that yet. We don'T even know THAT yet.
0:12:14 Jenessa: Don't even know that yet. We
0:12:15 Thomas: That might be true. We DON'T know that. It might be, based on what I'm seeing, it might be that they just endorsed one time.
0:12:15 Jenessa: don'T even know THAT yet. Right, okay,
0:12:22 Thomas: Which is nothing.
0:12:22 Jenessa: Put all of that together. This is so critical. Critical when you work in a specifically when you have the type of designation where you are a non -partisan non -profit this quotation that they are putting in here is like literally you better put that in there to avoid a defamation lawsuit because if you are non -artisan
0:12:45 Thomas: Because they'd be accusing them of doing political stuff when they're nonpartisan. Gotcha. So that's why someone at Fox News was like, hey, we've lost some defamation lawsuits. So I'm going to go ahead and call them real quick.
0:12:56 Jenessa: You you would literally this is your tax exempt status this is the status where when you take a donation to them and it's tax deductible, that status is dependent upon being nonpartisan. So that's why, for example, you have Planned Parenthood and Planned parenthood action. Planned parenhood action is a PAC. They do political things. When you donate to them, it is not tax deductable. When You donate to Planned parenthood, where they just do that money goes towards people's health care, that's a charity. And you are donating to a nonpartisan nonprofit and that money has to be sequestered in a separate bank account and it can never be used to even make the slightest political statement. When I have my job hat on, I can't even give you a hint of any opinion I have. I help people get registered to vote. I don't care what your political affiliation is. I'm going to help you do that no matter what.
0:14:03 Jenessa: That is my job. And I like we have to be I can't even emphasize enough how much work we put in to make it so that no one would ever even guess my opinions so that I am like so careful to make sure everyone is so so so comfortable coming to me no matter what their own opinions are like have to to be so freaking careful. Get separate donations that we can put in a separate pot of money, if we ever want to say, hey, this bill would really help our clients and we want to publicly say that, we cannot pull from any of our federal money or any of Our nonprofit status type of money. We have to go to a separate part of lobbying money because that has to be like this This is so freaking serious that
0:14:04 Thomas: Hum. Yeah, yeah. Yeah
0:14:52 Jenessa: If you are a, if they are a nonpartisan nonprofit, if they have that tax designation, you can not donate to a candidate, donate to a party, donate to a political movement, donate to, you cannot endorse.
0:15:03 Thomas: Officially endorse. Endorse? You probably can't officially endorse,
0:15:07 Jenessa: No, you cannot endorse a candidate. You cannot endorse a party. You cannot endorse a bill. Like, if there was a bill out that was like, we want to repeal the Americans with Disabilities Act, we need to go into a separate pot of money. It's a bill. Like, I can't endorse a bill, you have to be so careful about that. It is so important. People who work at non -profits take this so seriously. So, like, when they, if they are donating to other organizations, accusations, I guarantee you every lawyer has looked over extremely carefully who they are giving money to and what that group is going to do with it. Because if I give it to you and then you use it for political shit, I'm not 100 % on this loss, but I'm pretty sure that would count. Like that's just money laundering to get around it, right? You can't do that.
0:16:04 Thomas: Interesting. Yeah.
0:16:04 Jenessa: So like you would you would have to be giving it to them with strings attached that it can't be donating to a candidate so I mean I cannot emphasize enough how freaking serious this is yeah
0:16:05 Thomas: That's interesting. Right. So, yeah, yeah. So we need to get these connections to Kevin Bacon. So we're ready to not Kevin Bacon, somebody who barely looks like him. And also the quote is, hey, we fund civil society organizations that work to deepen civic engagement. OK, and these ones counter discrimination, including against Muslim Americans and advanced human rights. Now, here's sad fact is countering discrimination is explicitly anti right wing project. You know, that's the thing. It's like when I think I don'T think legally it's true. But I think rhetorically what might be going on here is Fox News sees all fucking funding Muslims. That means you're lefty. That means YOU'RE doing the Democratic Party's bidding. It's like, no, they actually can just they can they can they can do in a nonpartisan fashion, try to counter discrimination against a group a religious group like that's that's something you can do in a completely nonpolitical way.
0:16:58 Jenessa: That is a perception yeah yeah that is that's a huge problem that a lot of non -profit activist groups face is in the current political environment making it clear that it's like I understand that this issue became political around me but like I was here before it became politicized and I'm not here telling anybody who to vote for or how to vote I'm just here trying to help people so like it's exactly like you're describing like trying to explain like no I'm we're not here tryingto do democrat things or republican things we're here you're trying to help x group of people and if you view that as a republican thing or a democrat thing that's on you man like that's not what's happening right now so it yeah it's it's a huge problem it's hairy right
0:18:01 Thomas: So when we look at that PDF now, mind you, we're already seven connections, whatever, because this was Soros organizations donating to these other organizations. Now, you're pointing out that if these other organizations are explicitly political, that might be that might we don't know for sure, I guess, but that might be a problem. However, this is all before this mayoral election. But as I look at that PDF that she helpfully linked me, what I see there is this is about voter turnout. This is getting Muslim voter turnout up. That is something you are allowed to do. You tell me. But my impression is turnout is a neutral thing. You're allowed to do ads and do advocacy for, hey, go vote, go vote, here's help voting. As long as you are not, yeah, yeah. Let tell us, tell us.
0:18:40 Jenessa: That is like my that's that's my entire job and I have helped so many people turn out to vote and some of them are democrats and some of the republicans and some are independents and like that's we do tons of work about educating people on the voting process educating people on not the candidates themselves but how do you find information about candidates like where are objective uh sources and candidates websites websites. I don't know that they're objective, but you would at least hear straight from their own mouth what they say about themselves. And how do you get registered? And what's going to happen when you get to the polling place? And how can you get a ride to the polls? And we do all kinds of stuff about getting out the vote. And that's completely nonpartisan, especially because, of course, we would never condition that on who you're voting for. I do not want to know who you're voting for so absolutely that is non -partisan to get out the vote still nothing still nothing
0:19:53 Thomas: We're still nowhere, right? We've still gotten absolutely nowhere. Here's what is so funny. I have to ask you a very important question because the critical step that you've outlined, I think very well, is we would need to get from that, from the money being donated for civic society stuff to, you know, and just civic participation, we'd need to get from that to explicit political endorsement and organizing, right? Endorsement and funding and like explicit political stuff, right. That's where we need to go. I look and I see the next sentence here. For one, we get Mamdani Sarsour and the group supporting Mamdami's campaign didn't return requests for comment. Okay. Then the next sentences, M -Power and M -Gage have been a part of a tight inner circle of 30 ethnic and religious groups. That also includes CARE Action, the 501c4 political wing of the 503c3 Council on American Islamic Relations non -profit, etc., etc. When I go to that first part of the sentence, it is blue and underlined. Don't you try to click on that? Tell me what happens.
0:20:53 Thomas: Click on the part, any of the part that's mpower and mgage have been a part of a tight inner circle.
0:20:52 Jenessa: Uh nothing the underline just goes away cool
0:21:00 Thomas: Yep, it's underlined and not linked. So it's made to look like a link. Is this an accident? Probably, maybe. I don't know. It's made to look like a link format -wise, but there is no link there. It is just the formatting of it, the blue and the underline. If you click it, it does nothing. There is no Link there. The only thing that is linked is Care Action, which takes you to the Care Action website. Takes you a press release where they condemn Cuomo's despicable 9 -11 remarks and racist AI attack ad targeting Zoran Mamdani. Have already established that that this care action is the political arm.
0:21:24 Jenessa: Thanks right
0:21:35 Thomas: So they're allowed to do that. That's fine.
0:21:35 Jenessa: Right 501c4 that's exactly like we were talking about Planned Parenthood Planned imparenthood action. You keep those bank accounts separate and it's okay.
0:21:45 Thomas: So the critical part you would need, that's the actual link where it's part of a tight inner circle is not actually a fucking link. It just looks like one. No link there. Oh no, I forgot to hyperlink my actual evidence of whatever. Darn. Intentional? It might be. I don't know. No.
0:22:00 Jenessa: But apparently, don't know. Sometimes I wonder if like, I put placeholders when I'm writing a document and it'll interrupt my workflow if I stop every time I need to do a citation. So what I do is I write all caps CITE and I highlight it. And I'm going to come back to this later. And it makes me wonder sometimes times if people were like note to self come back and turn this into a real hyperlink later and it just right
0:22:26 Thomas: I think I think formatting wise, the only thing that explains this, not the only thing, but the most plausible thing to me is I think if you put if you did like, you know, command K to add a hyperlink and then just put a blank in the URL, I think that's what this would be. Yeah. I don't otherwise I don' know how you would accidentally. It doesn't take us to like go to blank. Yeah. Yeah.
0:22:40 Jenessa: That's what I'm saying yeah because it's not it's just an underline right you click it the underline goes away but
0:22:51 Thomas: Think if there was anything, like, wouldn't we just click on it and it would be like, oh, this is not a webpage or whatever? Like, if it was, like I don't know how this happened.
0:22:58 Jenessa: There's no link at all like it can't it's not even like http would direct you somewhere right
0:23:01 Thomas: There's no link at all. It doesn't even try. I don' t know how that would have happened. Happened. Pretend this is a mistake. Okay, that's fine. You still haven't demonstrated at all the main important thing. And I'm losing sense of how they even do this. So we got the care action that's 501c4. We got that, right?
0:23:18 Jenessa: And that's a real political action thing that is attempting to, appears to endorse Mamdani or appears to be against Cuomo or both. Fine.
0:23:30 Thomas: Person is trying to say ah, my proof that they are in cahoots. Part part of a tight inner circle. That's it. We don't have, we have no proof. We just say they're part of a tide inner circle, that's nothing. So we get care action and then it goes on. So comma, the Islamic circle of North America. Now all links. I'm wondering is the, maybe the proof is somewhere else here.
0:23:53 Jenessa: But that's care again.
0:23:55 Thomas: That's also care. Yeah. What? Why is that care again? Circle of North America? So I've searched for Islamic circle and that's not in the article.
0:24:06 Jenessa: Um, let's Let me, let me try to put this whole sentence together. Empower and Engage have been part of a big group. It includes CARE, the Islamic Circle. I'm like summarizing these names. The Islamic Circle, Muslim Action Coalition, Yemeni American Merchants Association, Bangladeshi American Advocacy Group, and Desi's Rising Up and Moving. So it's saying of these 30 ethnic and religious groups, those are some examples. That's what this sentence is attempting to get at.
0:24:16 Thomas: All And the link is wrong. Yep. Well, it's attempting to say they are part of a tight inner circle. That's nowhere. You're just listing groups. So she lists groups. She means to link to their websites. She fucks up the Islamic Circle of North America. That links to CARE. So that links to the wrong one. Muslim Action, at least, is the appropriate link. It just links to The Muslim Action website, I think, from what I can see.
0:24:53 Jenessa: But where's our proof that these guys are part of like some sort of... Right.
0:24:57 Thomas: So, okay. So this Muslim Action... Because this is an explicitly political one, a 501c4, this is their endorsements page a you're allowed to do and what's interesting it's got endorsements for all these things zoron zoron zoron is the top one for mayor but also two brad lander three jessica ramos uh advocate jermaine williams comptroller justin this is not like oh we only endorse fucking terrorists you know like islamic terror that's what they want you to think that's That's what Azra wants you to think. This is a shady, you know, dark money terrorist organization. They've just got some endorsements. There's only one name that's even Muslim on this list of endorsements, and that's Zoran Mamdani. That's even anything like Muslim looking on this
0:25:06 Jenessa: Almost always named... Action Coalition is like the kind of buzzword for like, this is a pack. Yeah okay
0:25:41 Thomas: List of Endorsements. That's they endorse Mamdani. Where else have we gotten? Yemeni. We can assume that that's the same thing. I think I'll click through real quick. What do you know? That's another CARE article. What? Right.
0:25:54 Jenessa: So the yemeni american merchants association inc would presumably be not the same as the council on american islamic relations care it should be a separate organization yeah
0:26:06 Thomas: But this links to an event. This links to allies to hold press conference rally outside News Corp HQ calling for boycott of New York Post over Islamophobic coverage of not Mamdani of Imam Siraj. So not even mom donnie and they it looks like what muslim was the one was this the yemeni yemenis uh merchants association is one of the groups that's a part of this um conference calling for a boycott of the new york post because of their racism their their attacks not against mom donny against this imam okay nothing
0:26:35 Jenessa: So why are we linking to that as proof that they're part of an organization of multiple multiple groups. Like, I just don't, a tight inner circle. Like why is that evidence that they're part of, I don't even understand.
0:26:38 Thomas: To do with fucking anything that's nothing and it only connects these groups to care which we've already established to care action sorry it only only attaches these groups to carry action because they're they're like going to be at the same press conference but that that's m gauge and empower aren't there They're the way, I think that would still be fine if they were, because that event is boycott a newspaper for their attacks on a Muslim. Wouldn't that be fine? Is that a partisan thing?
0:27:13 Jenessa: I mean, these guys are probably allowed to be partisan. I don'T think they're nonprofits.
0:27:18 Thomas: Empower had been among these organizations was calling for a boycott, is that something? Thing uh that true I'm not sure it was because I said that their thing was a turnout thing
0:27:22 Jenessa: I DON'T think Empower, Empower is also not a nonprofit. It was literally just the George Soros group that was. Let me, a nonpartisan nonprofits specifically. So the George Soros Open Society was specifically the nonpartisan nonprofit that needed to make very clear they are not endorsing any candidates when they donated to Empower and Engage. But if Empower or Engage are endorsing, then that means they are are not nonpartisan nonprofits yeah me either it
0:27:55 Thomas: I don't know that they're endorsing so I guess I'm not sure I don't so can we tell quickly what But Empower, I don't know if Empower is political or not. I'm not sure. Haven't seen any proof of that. My only point is, let's assume, like I was kind of granting a few things. Let's assume Empower had been part of this calling for a boycott of the New York Post because they were racist against an imam. Isn't that something they could do? That's not, that's not like, that'S not partisan.
0:28:23 Jenessa: No not at all I certainly I wouldn't consider that no like oh
0:28:26 Thomas: It's not? IT IS something. Sorry, I thought you were answering the other way. So you're saying it is something they could do.
0:28:33 Jenessa: I would think yeah if there is some concern like they're not a non -partisan non -profit then who cares anyway if they do for some reason need to maintain a nonpartisan status yeah I can't imagine that's just fighting discrimination I don't see see how that's political
0:28:50 Thomas: Like if you're if your thing is I'm nonpartisan, but my goal is to fight discrimination against Muslims. Right. Didn't we agree that's a thing you can do? And this newspaper aired these Islamic attacks against the imam. I don't know if calling for boycott. Yeah, like what is that? That's not partisan, is it?
0:28:58 Jenessa: Yeah absolutely yeah
0:29:07 Thomas: It. So even granting like 15 layers of argument, that's not there still nothing is all I'm saying so that we still have nothing. We have no connection to, have no collection to empower and engage. It's all we have is something that looks like a hyperlink and is actually not. That's That's it. And the rest of the sentence is, oh, these are all a tight circle, except they're not. There's no, there's no connection except the one like press conference thing I talked about. But isn't necessarily a tight connection. They just both don't want discrimination against Muslims like that. So for one event, probably
0:29:07 Jenessa: I mean I don't think so yeah yeah I mean here's here's what it really is each of these right okay muslim action coalition council on american islamic relations bangladeshi american advocacy group yemeni american merchants association you know what these are all going to have in common their members as individuals are muslim so unsurprisingly these individuals are as individuals and probably as organizations endorsing muslim candidates like I don't yeah
0:29:57 Thomas: Muslims for the most part. Yep. They've said they've pumped up Mamdani's campaign with ready social media campaigns. Let's see what that was. All right, that's the Bangladeshi American Advocacy Group's post. So we that group is partisan or not. No idea. But if they're endorsing Mamdani, we can assume they are, I guess. That's fine.
0:30:29 Jenessa: Must I'm sure yeah literally
0:30:31 Thomas: No connection to here. You're just finding groups that endorsed Mamdami. That' s it. It now uh this is just drum beats facebook page non somebody in that now posted voter registration postering door knocking canvassing uh my powerful bangladeshi women members leader now I can say happy birthday zelron hashtag zelon mamdani Okay. But says they're a nonprofit, but we can't, we don't know. Does that mean, yeah.
0:30:37 Jenessa: The connection is they're connected. Could be. Like 501c4, you're not for profit, but a nonpartisan nonprofit. There's nonprofits that can be partisan and there's nonpartesian nonprofits, the 501C3s, which are separate.
0:31:09 Thomas: Yep. And so, and this one, it does look like they, okay. I'm just checking them out. Drumbeat. I think They're they're, the partisan kind. Cause they, they have have a four candidates page.
0:31:18 Jenessa: If they're endorsing a candidate. Yeah, we we we put out like a thing we call the candidates toolkit, but it's not for you to pick a candidate. It's for, hey, are you an elected official and you want to know more about disability voting rights? Any elected official, download this guide. So it's called the candidates toolkit, but it's not about anybody deciding on a candidate. It's for candidates, for any election person. So it can be deceptive that way.
0:31:48 Thomas: It might be that sibling maybe if I go to donate, it'll tell me like, Drumbeats is a 501c4.
0:31:54 Jenessa: There you go.
0:31:55 Thomas: That's the kind that can endorse, right?
0:31:57 Jenessa: Correct. That is the that can be a nonprofit, but it's not a nonpartisan nonprofit.
0:32:03 Thomas: And it says, when I go To the donate page of this Drumbeots one, it says Drumbeets is a501c for organization and donations are not tax deductible. So nonprofit, but not the a tax -deductible kind. That means they're allowed to do that. So you've posted proof an organization did a thing they're explicitly allowed to doing.
0:32:12 Jenessa: There it is. Correct? Yep.
0:32:22 Thomas: All right. Cool. Cool, cool, cool. I think that she knew this is a bullshit argument in in her weakest point. So she threw in a hundred links here and all of them are nothing.
0:32:32 Jenessa: Because just to put that whole sentence together at the end, all these groups, what do they all have in common? They have pumped up mamdani's campaign with social media campaigns canvassing voters and buzz I don't even know what that means voters and Buzz how you pumped up my election with voters thanks most
0:32:45 Thomas: Got question. Do you think I could go find a bunch of Christian organizations that have pumped up candidates in the past? Do you Think the money would fucking far and away outstrip this money by a billion to one? Yes. Is nothing. This Is something that you have to be a racist or, or I guess, someone uh, who's willing to traffic in, racism in against Muslims and Islamophobia to even think this is anything like people see totally normal stuff, but because it's a Brown person, because as a Muslim, they think it's evil, but it's actually just completely normal. Like if you had a, if you, if the person was white and you saw them doing it, you'd be like, oh, that's fine. Is just organizations supporting candidates. That's all it is. That
0:32:56 Jenessa: Likely I I would suspect and it evil it's just you're you're not noticing it when it's a bunch of white people. Like, I don't
0:33:34 Thomas: Too that too yeah
0:33:34 Jenessa: Love that we have these, like, mega evangelical churches donating to people. That's not great. Like should walk that back. Are not technically supposed to be donating. Absolutely. I don'T love when we see these, like, obviously religious organizations of any kind are donating to candidates and that includes like giant christian evangelical organizations like they're doing that in a really scary way right now in my opinion so know
0:34:04 Thomas: My god oh you're about I'm about to do the finish finish her on the stroke that's gonna that's going to collect me the insurance money so just know that was a little unclear I think you summed it up well but the part that mattered was the connection to empower and engage that does not exist that is only a sentence saying they're close that's it that's nothing you can literally type that on any computer try it you can type mpower and mcage are part of a tight inner circle oh my god that's something um they list a bunch of organizations as you've said that are the c4 kind that can actually do that stuff and namani has linked a bunch of like where they're like kind of um mom donnie which is a thing they are allowed to do so that's nothing and then it says overall together they have annual revenues of about 24 million dum dum dum wow all together their annual revenue is almost half of what those groups raised to fucking fight mom donny in one single election all together
0:35:01 Jenessa: They named she said there's an inner circle of 30 groups have 24 million a year it's
0:35:09 Thomas: All Together the annual revenues that's That's fucking nothing for this relative to right -wing money, relative to Christian money, relative to like a bunch of interest groups money. Like that's just nothing. But we haven't even gotten to where you're going to have a stroke. You ready for this? Let's see if you catch it. Altogether, they have have annual an revenues of about 24 million and they have worked to promote Mamdani's campaign with endorsements, fundraising, social media campaigns, and canvassing. We've already covered that. That's fine. It's completely fine. Now, the result, a carefully constructed political career that mainstreams the socialist goals long embraced by Sarsour. OK, does that mean? I'm going to click. That's linked. The long embraced Sarsouro is hyperlinked. Let me take a second to see what the fuck that is.
0:35:50 Jenessa: This should be proof that she embraces socialism. This is what this should be proof of, sure.
0:35:56 Thomas: Fine. And if that's proof of that, I don't disagree. What would that mean. She might be a socialist. Linda Sarsour flaunts her membership to the Democratic Socialists. Okay, that's nothing.
0:36:03 Jenessa: All right yeah all right sure so for once the link supports what it was supposed to support yeah
0:36:10 Thomas: But that's nothing. So So is Bernie. So as Mamdani himself. So like now, we're, proving we're the conspiracy theory that someone who is a democratic socialist is supporting a democratic socialist. That's nothing that's not, that's like again, that's like, if you said this person's a Republican dump, dump, dumb, they are supporting the Republican candidate.
0:36:20 Jenessa: This is unsurprising it would be weird if they weren't
0:36:32 Thomas: That's it would be weird if they weren't. It would be weird if they weren't OK, but keep going. We haven't got there yet. And fellow members of the Democratic Socialists of America. Yeah, he's he's running as a Democratic Socialist. He you haven't outed the guy as a democratic socialist. He's a democratic socialist. This is nothing. This is absolutely fucking nothing. It's a machine that is expressing itself in races from New York to Virginia, Minnesota, Texas and California. Ready for this with M Power and M Gage aligning with the Democratic Socialists of America and the Democratic Party to propel candidates who may views. Share Now, we still, you and I, have not discovered if M Power or M Gauge are actually the C4 kind. I actually think they aren't from what I'm seeing. I'm not 100 % positive, but I'm Not seeing any overt political stuff outof them. That's important because that's the missing link. But
0:36:41 Jenessa: Fellow members right okay
0:37:17 Thomas: Here we go. Ready for this? A campaign called Defend in Advance, M -Gage Super PAC is pushing Mondani and Democratic Virginia Lieutenant Ghazala Hashmi as its star candidates. You see any problems with what we just heard there?
0:37:31 Jenessa: So if m gauge is a super pack that absolutely has to be a partisan and pac that's political action committee and
0:37:40 Thomas: M -gage Super Pac sounds like it might be a different entity from M -gage. That might be like Planned Parenthood action versus Planned Parenthhood.
0:37:44 Jenessa: Almost certainly almost certainly why we have very specifically written m gauge a hundred times but this time we wrote m gauge super pack yeah
0:37:56 Thomas: But now we wrote M -Gage Super PAC. Isn't that interesting? And it's capitalized too, because I think that's probably part of their name. So there's M-Gage. Well, it's called M -geage PAC, I guess. That one endorses candidates. Why? Because that's what they can fucking do. They're allowed to do that.
0:38:11 Jenessa: Yeah and like I don't want to dismiss like obviously like super packs and like money in politics has absolutely like ruined our freaking and politics and we should have publicly funded campaigns and yada yada yes absolutely I don't want to dismiss the idea that like it is a little messed up that we have this idea of like oh as if those two organizations don't share ideas beliefs information of course Planned Parenthood and Planned Parenthood Action are uh of beliefs and information they don't show up pots of money that's what's critical legally so
0:38:48 Thomas: Yeah. They are not legally allowed to to do that.
0:38:50 Jenessa: So I'm down for the idea that if their branch that is a super PAC uh totally legally keeping a separate pack of money a separate bank account and all that that they could still be um in their beliefs and like have you know similar people working there we've still once again drawn the connection even further we have made the step right
0:39:05 Thomas: This is nothing. Jenessa, this is nothing." This is a group MGAGE that that is all about supporting Muslims in a completely nonpartisan way. That seems fine, right? Seems fine. And then they have one called MGAGEPAC, which wants to endorse candidates probably because they're like, hey, now we want to try to support candidates that will be good for Muslims. Problems also seems fine those are two things that are fine and
0:39:21 Jenessa: Of course right right and essentially literally the distinction is when you donate to that one your donation isn't tax deductible that's like straight up why it has to be a separate bank account that's basically it because
0:39:42 Thomas: When you donate to m gauge when you are soros's um um doesn't go to mgage super pack very specifically that goes to m gauge we
0:39:54 Jenessa: That would be a huge problem where you're just laundering your 501c3 status into a 501 c4 which you could not to like
0:40:01 Thomas: Are so fucking far out in the connections it's not even close so they slip they slipped in I didn't catch this on the first read but they slipped in m gauge super pack is pushing Trishing Mom Donnie. Oh, that's weird. That's sort of a non sequitur because it has nothing to do with how you've built up the connections, which you already didn't build up. So good. I mean, this is so funny.
0:40:18 Jenessa: At best if sarsour does in fact run not just m gauge but also m gauge super pack or is like let's I'll grant like if she's high up there okay so she is a person who I Grant she holds beliefs that the writer of this article doesn't like and now you're because her pack again I don't think it's her pack donated to him allegedly or endorsed him then that means we ascribe his beliefs her beliefs to him that's how we that's the five steps we just did I so much work to connect the two of them. And like, she's not even like, if this was the part I was getting at before. So she's got part of the spreadsheet is not who is donated to him. But as you go through the sheets, it's who's donated to M -Gage and who's donated to mpower because if mgage and mpower have either donated or endorsed him then that's a condemnation except actually they can't but their super pack did so we're like connecting it with those multiple steps removed sure
0:40:45 Thomas: Maybe. Yeah. It's nothing. Is. It's absolutely nothing. And so M now I'm decoding her stupid spreadsheet a little bit better.
0:41:32 Thomas: Yeah. They have, uh, it looks like there's three, organizations. One that's the C3, which is very importantly, the one that Soros stuff would have been able to donate to, right. Has revenue of almost 5 million a year, which is nothing, uh, but is something like, sure. M gauge federal political action committee, which that's M gauge pack has latest revenues on her own spreadsheet, $300 ,000, $3 ,000 a year, I guess that's fucking nothing. And then there's also M gauge action Inc, which seems to be the C4 that can, can also do political stuff that has 1 .6 million revenue um
0:41:49 Jenessa: It's not it's nothing yep oh so this is probably the distinction between we have the 501c3 the pack 501 c4 and then super packs which I fundamentally don't understand but it's like the additional uh extra I
0:42:23 Thomas: Is a c4 a pack I
0:42:24 Jenessa: A c4 is a pack and then like there's super packs which is the whole other anonymous thing no
0:42:30 Thomas: Super packs were just like if they're big enough people refer to them as that am I wrong
0:42:33 Jenessa: I think the super pack is when yeah like a pack is a 501c4 you still have to disclose your donors and the super pac is where you don't even have to disclosure donors I don't understand how it works right
0:42:46 Thomas: Okay, okay, I'm refreshing myself on this yeah yeah the difference is packs can directly contribute to candidates super packs have to do the fake thing where they pretend they're not so super packs get to do You know, like that's where Ted Cruz leaves the footage on the YouTube of all his shit, just in case any super packs want to use it. It. OK, thanks. Thanks for that reminder. So good.
0:43:06 Jenessa: So you a pack could I believe a pack could directly communicate with you because that all has to be public information uh a super pack because it's all anonymous and spooky technically you can't officially communicate with them how would anyone would know when it's all unofficial is very frustrating yeah okay
0:43:14 Thomas: Right. That's right, so. If we look at their like little mini mission statements, the super pack one, that C4, actually. Actually, the super PAC is the C4, I think, according to this, because it says M gauge action supports and advocates for just policies that strengthen our plural democracy and protect human rights at home and abroad. Then the M gauge federal political action committee, which under tax status, it says PAC on her spreadsheet. Cheat. I didn't know that was a text designation pack. That's the largest Muslim American bipartisan political action committee that supports local, state, and federal candidates who share a vision. So that, I mean, I guess I can't say for sure because you could be supporting candidates without talking to them, but it seems like from context, that's one that is okay to talk to candidates. And the, I
0:44:10 Jenessa: Is the one she specifically got in the article m gauge super pack which
0:44:15 Thomas: Okay, the one she's saying is a super PAC is M gauge action, which is what I said. So that one, she's calling the C4 a super pack and and the, C3 is the one that Soros groups donated to. And then the one that is PAC, uh, just listed tax status PAC. Says it supports candidates. It's got latest revenues, 300 ,000, which has nothing. The one she's talking about is the the M gauge action. And that has revenues of 1 .6 million, which is nothing like this is all again, in terms of dark money, they, they got a long way to go. Like this is, this is barely worth it.
0:44:45 Jenessa: Here a summary for you just to clear all of this up so um this is from the the campaign uh legal do they do this to me they put their fucking acronym instead of their actual name campaign legal center here has a quick summary for us a political action committee a pack raises or spends more than a thousand dollars to influence the outcome of federal election in a calendar year so you have to register with the fcc they They can accept up to $5 ,000 a year from any individual, no unions, no corporate treasury funds, blah, blah. SuperPAC, same threshold of any PAC spending, more than $1 ,000 they have to register. SuperPACK is shorthand for what the FEC refers to as Independent Expenditure Only Political Committee. The difference is it can accept unlimited contributions from any non -foreign source, including unions and corporate treasury funds. It can spend unlimited amounts. It cannot contribute directly to a candidate. It may not coordinate with the candidate. Money Group is a 501c4 social welfare group or a C6 trade association named after sections of the Internal Revenue Code that grant tax -exempt status to these organizations, sometimes referred to as, quote, issue advocacy groups. They can can accept unlimited contributions from any source and are not required to publicly disclose their donors they may engage in some candidate election related activities uh they can't be the primary activity so I why that's
0:46:19 Jenessa: Legal I don't I don't know
0:46:20 Thomas: I don't know. Yeah. So, so is on nothing. All we've got is there's a pack version, which has the action. And I don'T, I DON'T know if that's a super pack. She's calling it a super I maybe guess it is. That's supporting Mom Donnie as Mom Donny. Is it. That all we got.
0:46:37 Jenessa: And that that super pack might be associated with linda sarsour who is and the super pack is explicitly not allowed to directly associate with the candidate oh
0:46:44 Thomas: I yeah, and there no relationship to Linda Sarsour even hypothetically beyond her just saying that and then linking us to something that doesn't support that. That's
0:46:59 Jenessa: I thought that was for the other piece oh is that for m gauge was the one that oh
0:47:02 Thomas: For m gauge because m power power is her actual thing like she started it she co -founded it yeah yeah not
0:47:06 Jenessa: I got them mixed up right yeah Yeah, so a super PAC that we have no evidence she works for has endorsed him.
0:47:14 Thomas: And it's even worse because azra namani says she's linked to m gauge that isn't even proven but even if that were proven that's not m gauge action that's a different branch that's that's the one that's separate entity that can do political stuff up. So she's not even close.
0:47:28 Jenessa: So she supposedly works closely with, no proof, their not PAC branch. That group's super PAC endorsed him, and that means he's connected to her and she is bad.
0:47:44 Thomas: What Azra Nomani does that is either ignorant or dishonest is she just has one sheet on her spreadsheet that's M gauge and now she she does note that they're different. So She notes that like, Oh, this went to the M gauge. This went to M gauge action. She does note that, but, it is separate, but it's all on the one page as m gauge and in the article she keeps saying oh these people donate to m gauge and it's not clear which one she means in which moment I she did say m gauge super pack that one time so that might be cover your ass like make sure you're not defaming someone other times she just says m gauge m gauges defend an advanced roster of support candidates so that's not m gauge that's m gauge action so she there she drops the super pack part or drops the action part and just says M gauge. So like, yeah,
0:48:28 Jenessa: Which if we're in cover your ass don't get sued territory I would always be using m gauge for the 501c3 and super pack for the super pack and so on okay
0:48:41 Thomas: But she, she actually fucked that up because the defendant advanced thing is M gauge action. And she said, M gauges defend an advanced roster. She, so actually they fucked up there.
0:48:49 Jenessa: So if it's supported candidates this if it supported candidates it cannot be the non -partisan group
0:48:54 Thomas: Cannot be that. Yep. But she would lead it. She would like us to believe it is. I think either you could say this is incompetence. I think it's probably dishonesty. She's blurring the lines there. And now I, now I want to go go even further because she says M -Gage's donations include $175 ,000 from a group little noticed by political observers, but important in Islamist circles, Sterling Charitable Gift Fund. Now, first off, I want to see which one that is because she just said M -gage. Now let's see. That one is the M - gauge foundation. She has within a couple sentences away from each other said, M gauge is defended advanced roster Now Now note, that's a different organization. Couple sentences later, she says, M gauges donations there. She's talking about the C3, but she says M gauge both times.
0:49:36 Jenessa: That's That's not great, man.
0:49:40 Thomas: Not good. Good. You Now I know, obviously, like like, you said, they're going to be somewhat related and all that, but speaking, legally speaking and I think pretty importantly because as you know there are big stakes here um a big accusation to say that a c3 is is like doing political stuff that's not you know like that's you lose your exempt status it's bad so for the sake of looking at what this should mean give them different names this might as well be like you're saying you're political one said this the not political ones donations include include 175 it's like that's not related you know like but she just uses m gauge for both and makes you think that that's the same thing
0:49:55 Jenessa: It would be terrible. If it was true, it would be horrible. You really have to.
0:50:09 Jenessa: Right. And the importance of that being if I donate to the non -political side, you I am donating with the intent that my money go to XYZ. If I donate it to the PAC side, my money, I know that my Money is not tax deductible and I know my money is going to support specific candidates so like I donated to one and not the other for a reason meaningful yeah
0:50:50 Thomas: We get some propaganda that I don't I haven't had time to debunk but they they want to link like okay this candidate that m gauge by the way m gauge action she doesn't say is supporting once said I want you to know as mayor you are not welcome here to a Christian pastor who objected to a proposal to name a street in honor of a local man. This this mayor was talking shit to probably a Christian hate pastor. So that makes me like him more. Um, but like, yep.
0:51:15 Jenessa: It links to another fox news article so I'm like okay that's not I'm I'm not gonna get the true story there of who said what so you read this either as very saintly christian man said um person that you want to name the road after that man prays to terrorists and you should not name the road after him and in response this candidate for mayor said how dare you get out of this town we love hamas in this city or perhaps that's not what happened perhaps this man was saying don't name my street after a muslim them it's it's one of the two
0:51:57 Thomas: Of the two and it's on Fox news. So we'll just have to guess which using that information. Hard because a lot of these propaganda things, you can't really find an actual source because the only people who covered it were the propagandists.
0:52:09 Jenessa: This is what I'm talking about I google these people's names and the only hits are people like the new york post like wing news sources giving you a right wing slant like no neutral or left wing news source has even reported on the story because Because it's such a nothing burger.
0:52:29 Thomas: The So asymmetry we face. I don't know how fight that, you
0:52:32 Jenessa: So like having done a quick search and listened to this supposed interaction where like okay the way it's uh yeah okay yeah fair this actual interaction where this mayor of dearborn the way they frame it of course is like he's just this absolute asshole, right?
0:52:40 Thomas: Is an interaction it's not supposed it did happen yeah they frame it like he saw the guy was a christian and he's like you sir get the fuck out of here you fucking piece of shit get that belief out of my town I'm mayor I'm mayer muslim sounding
0:53:04 Jenessa: So, yeah, having now listened to it, we have the usual problem of somebody saying terrible things while seeming very calm. Yeah. First of all, we haven't repeated dog whistle in there about the Jews killed Jesus. That is an anti -Semitic dog whistle that's up a lot of what's used to incite pogroms like it's really bad and he says it all calm and casual yes
0:53:30 Thomas: Gibson says that a lot just to give you an idea
0:53:32 Jenessa: He says it all calming casual repeatedly and inserts it for no good reason just want to remind everybody before I tell you about something jesus said that the Jews killed Jesus. With evidence that this person did anything bad is just alluding to the mere fact that a street is named after a Muslim man is the equivalent of calling it Hamas Street or Hezbollah Street. Then what we're hearing is it's not that the mayor just heard him say those things and went, you're not welcome here. I hate you. He specifically tells us he he has a personal relationship with this man that this man has been outside his mosque saying anti -muslim things on youtube spreading it to other people and that's when we get the statement I would love it if you'd leave this town you're the worst like it be more misleading
0:54:13 Thomas: On YouTube saying shit. Yeah. But It's weird that Fox News left all that out where he said, you have YouTube videos where you are in front of my mosque, basically, saying Islamophobic things. So I entirely possible that this mayor could have been mistaken. Maybe it's a a different guy who knows but whatever the fact is that mayor is not doing that in his mind because this guy's a christian he's doing it because this guy is actively islamophobic and is trying to say that just naming a street and by the way if you want to make it even funnier this the mayor wasn't who made the decision to name the street it's the county level thing that this mayor has no say over so like the meeting itself has nothing to do with the street name they can't do anything about the street name. It's not up to them. This is a guy coming to a meeting that has nothing to do with the street named complaining about a street name, uh, and saying that you might as well name it a Hezbollah street because it's, you know, uh... don't know that... I'm looking up the guy. I don' t... I d' t see anything about him that would obviously...
0:55:21 Jenessa: Opened saying the guy did nice things in the community so like it doesn't even And he's literally just saying, but because of my bigotry, I find it really upsetting.
0:55:30 Thomas: Yeah, pretty much. All that is to say that the M gauge action fund or that Muslim guy for mayor. So, all that well poisoning back later to, to this.
0:55:42 Jenessa: So they endorsed that guy for mayor who clearly hates Christians. And that group that Linda Sarsour allegedly no evidence was working closely with. And she once posed in a picture with Mom Donnie. Case closed. He hates Christians? I can't like this is nothing right
0:56:01 Thomas: And nothing. Then when when we went to that, the next sentence was the M gauge donations, which then was switching back to the C3, which was, you very, very misleading. And it talks about Sterling charitable gift fund. It says a Nomani now this, the news article author says in 2002, they were part of a network of groups that FBI agents rated as part part of a wider investigation into the funding of Palestinian terrorist groups, including Hamas. Federal prosecutors ultimately didn't file criminal charges against any officials at Sterling Charitable Gift Fund. This is weird. I'm just curious about this. I click on the link and I don't fucking know what, it's just a PDF. I don'T know what the source is. Like an attachment. Everything was super chill in 2002 and any action the
0:56:48 Jenessa: Yes right
0:56:48 Thomas: Federal government took against Muslims meant those Muslims were terrorists, like famously. So that means
0:56:53 Jenessa: So we investigated all these muslim groups um didn't take any criminal action against them but
0:57:00 Thomas: They found fucking nothing because if they found anything they would have charged them back in 2002 months after 9 -11 like there are people who like really shitty things happen to completely innocent muslims all over the country and obviously abroad but like in in our country like muslim americans were followed were know you spied on were arrested were all All this stuff. Horrible. And you're saying that the big shady thing here is that this fund was part of a group that FBI agents raided in 2002 and didn't charge with anything like, sorry, that's nothing. You could have just been like, honestly, that just means you're a Muslim. Like in 2002, if you were raided for connections to, you Hamas or whatever, and nothing was done, no charges were filed. That means congratulations you're a muslim in america in 2002 that's all that like there's nothing like sure it could be that they were guilty of funding terrorism but they found nothing and so I'm gonna go ahead and say with the benefit of hindsight that uh george bush's fucking fbi in the months after 9 -11 um they found something that they could charge you with that means you were brown like that pretty much just means you had a muslin sounding name and we're brown that's about it I
0:57:05 Jenessa: 2002 oh my god yeah they got swept up in an investigation of something thing and innocent until proven guilty and
0:58:12 Thomas: Nothing it's a hundred years ago yeah
0:58:12 Jenessa: Was in 2002 and apparently recently that organization which still exists had 175 000 to m gauge oh shit
0:58:22 Thomas: And by the way the m gauge that can't do political stuff and didn't do critical stuff or partisan stuff I should say
0:58:31 Jenessa: So apparently that means he's connected to palestinian terrorist groups they were investigated investigated for funding palestinian terrorist groups including hamas so mamdani loves hamas I
0:58:46 Thomas: Just looked up the Sterling Charitable Gift Fund and, you know, like everything in America, it seems to be some kind of nothing. Honestly, it might be like a fucking pass through tax write off for somebody who knows who knows what financial nonsense it is. But it's got peanuts, man. It's got like a million dollars a year. It could be a tax shelter for somebody. Buddy. It's rated badly as a charity, but it's just because it doesn't have any information. Like there's no website. It doesn't publicize anything. For all we know, this is some guy's tax write -off that he uses, and it's a Muslim person, and he uses it to maybe donate to some Muslim causes. It is a C3. It isn't a political thing. It didn't donate to a political thing. And that's it. That's all we got. There's just nothing there. Change the race and and the names to white and American sounding, this is fucking every single day times a trillion. This is nothing. It's absolutely nothing. Hundred percent. No one would even think twice about it. Right. I'm told you have some thoughts on the next part.
0:59:37 Jenessa: It's the joe schmoe foundation yeah so if you scroll past the next pile of ads you a picture of george soros and this even the captions on the pictures kill me hungarian born gotta make sure you know not born in the united states hungarian -born u .s investor and philanthropist george Soros smiles after delivering Okay, of all the things you could say about him, of all the pictures you could choose of him, the World Economic Forum and Davos is the subject of so many conspiracy theories. It does not feel like a coincidence that we were like, of the things that we could say, of course, of all, like, what do we put as the caption about him? Put that he was not born in the United States and input that he's part of the thing that you think is evil jewish conspiracy jewish -born jewish guy doing the jewish thing that's what that caption is like it's a giant dog whistle I can't with this it never ends every sentence is hell yeah
1:00:35 Thomas: He's at Davos. Yeah, It so bad. And I think we have probably put you through enough sentences. I'm trying to think like, I just want to point out why reason we are fucked is you and I have talked, I don't know what this will add it down to, but we've talked for over two hours. We have been debunking. We've been going line by line through this propaganda. We Have Gotten, let's see, to paragraph one, Maybe I'll call it, some Some of these are just one sentence paragraphs, but I'll call it paragraph 10, maybe like that's 501c3 charitability. We have, I don't know, fucking a hundred more to go. It just takes that long. It's so easy to create propaganda. It's So hard to debunk it, but there is nothing here. This is just pure racism. There's absolutely nothing here There's no connection. It's just putting people in the same sentence and saying that's bad because Muslim. But just to close out, obvious like reality is that Mamdani is a good candidate. Like
1:01:29 Jenessa: It is he won because he's a good candidate muslim groups donate to him because they're muslim and he's muslim and
1:01:51 Thomas: Pittances to him because they have no fucking money. They donate nothing relative to the other candidates relative to the 40 fucking million dollars that was raised just for this one general election That eclipsed the dark that Azra Nomani is talking about, which altogether was 30 organizations whose annual budget combined is $24 million, their annual revenues. It's nothing.
1:01:51 Jenessa: That's normal like yeah it like the entire theme of this that like he has a machine behind him is like if you were like I allow the characterization of like this this machine of muslim group but also george soros who who we're not going to let you forget is like Jewish man. Also this is anti -Semitic. Worry about it. Don't think too hard. Like, if we grant that, that there is some machine behind him. There's also like a whole machine of people who like Cuomo behind Cuomo. And I don't know if the Republican machine is behind Sliwa.
1:02:48 Jenessa: I don' t know if I want to comment on.
1:02:46 Thomas: A massive machine. The Republicans, no, the Republicans are more on Cuomo because I think he has a better chance.
1:02:53 Jenessa: Are they really? Yeah. Yeah.
1:02:56 Thomas: Like Cuomo was on Fox News the other day. Let's see. Let's say here we go.
1:02:56 Jenessa: Sliwa's just living his life. Oh,
1:03:01 Thomas: YouTube dot com Cuomo on Fox News. Let's just see what he's been doing lately. Are
1:03:08 Clip: Back with me today democrat independent canada andrew cuomo and governor thank you for your time and for coming back here in the closing hours closing days and good morning to you sir we um good to be with you yeah our fox polling says he's down eight you're up, but only by three. Did you need more time to make the final sale?
1:03:13 Thomas: Is he on fox news he's a democrat he's the democrat of the election this
1:03:32 Clip: No, the sale date hasn't come yet, right? Tuesday is the election and people, especially in New York, Bill, you know, they're busy. They're focusing on a lot of things. There's a lot political static right now. So I think these next few days are really the most important days where New Yorkers really start to focus. And what you're seeing is a tremendous turnout. We have early voting here in New York, which means people can come out and vote for days before Election Day. It is going to be historic, and I think that's telling because New Yorker's
1:03:26 Thomas: Shit I can't wait we're so close yeah
1:04:09 Clip: Are afraid. That's why you see this big turnout.
1:04:10 Thomas: They're historically coming out to vote for andrew cuomo
1:04:12 Clip: And they should be afraid. Mamdani could win. He is wholly inexperienced, as I said on He's dangerously inexperienced. This would basically be his first job. He has no qualifications, never managed anything, and you don't want to experiment with the mayor of the city of New York. My challenge is that Curtis Sliwa is a spoiler in the race. A vote for Curtis is a vote for Mamdami, and that's the issue, that Sliva is really the spoiler to me beating Mamdani. Okay. Now, you said yesterday in Harlem, I'm going to put the words on the screen for our viewers to watch here.
1:04:36 Thomas: Still can't say his name it's month you can't you can even pronounce your opponent's name
1:04:51 Clip: You said, I do not believe the city of New York has a future if Zoran Mamdani is elected mayor. New York City does not have a future. What do you mean by that? ZorAN Mamdami is a socialist.
1:04:45 Jenessa: The... All right. Oh,
1:05:02 Thomas: Let's see it's mom donnie in the quote that you were just quoted it. It said Mamdani.
1:05:07 Clip: I am a Democrat. He is a socialist. And now he's a socialist on the Democratic line, and I'm a Democrat on an independent line. But he is a Socialist. New York has no long -term future as a socialist city. We believe in corporate America, we believe in entrepreneurism, we believe in opportunity, we in jobs, we believe in business. That's what makes the engine run. We believe in public safety.
1:05:22 Thomas: He's not going to turn it into a socialist city tomorrow.
1:05:35 Clip: The socialists believe the NYPD is racist, his words, words, wicked, his word, corrupt, his words, anti -queer, that they are a threat to public safety. They are anti -public safety, anti law and order, anti business. New York does not have a future if that's the governance. I've
1:05:34 Jenessa: What to do with socialism?
1:06:00 Thomas: Right. Think Mamdini said it best in the debate when he said, what in experience, I make up for in integrity. And what you lack in integrity, you can never make up för an experience. Fantastic line. Out of 10. His debate performance was so So good. Here's And the thing. If it's a machine backed candidate, if it's a if sleeper agent, fucking, you know, meteoric rise, whatever that's funded by big money, you wouldn't have a guy who was walking through, you know, from fucking one end of town to the other, walking for hours, talking to every single person, starting from nothing, starting from zero name recognition and then winning the primary. Like that's that's You might as well say that AOC was like, oh, that was all intentional. She was all funded by billionaires and a machine. No, it's like that's a candidate who made a big splash because they're a good candidate who took the time and who talks about affordability as their main issue. You. And Mamdani, I watched the whole debate. He's an incredible candidate. He is really, really good. I expect big things for him because he, he is so firm on his messaging. He always smiling. He always happy. He deals with these attacks from these racist fucking attacks with just a smile on his face somehow. And he's just a good fucking candidate. You know, like if you want to try to explain that by, you Muslim money of checks, notes, nothing, you to you know 2 .3 million or whatever the fuck and that's not even to him this is all that's the funniest thing all these revenues all these numbers every single one we've talked about 2 .5 million 24 million all of that was just these organizations budgets and
1:07:32 Thomas: Don't and donations to each other she never linked it to mom donnie at all in any way so
1:07:38 Jenessa: That was the budget of how much money got donated by this other organization organization a to organization b organization b being the non -partisan wing of organization c which may or may not be kind of connected to him not really endorsed him and then what you know the thing that always drives me nuts about it I'll say regardless of who we're talking about these arguments that somebody is just popular because Because of the machine, because of the party, because of the endorsements, whatever. It really undermines the agency of voters. Like, at the end of the day, people showed up to the polls and voted for somebody. And that's a decision a human being made. And it's like, it really screws with our entire democracy when we just think of all of our neighbors as, like, mindless zombies. Like no, he won that primary because he got out there and he talked to people and he knocked on doors. And then a bunch of human beings made a conscious decision to go vote for him. And you don't have to like the decision that they made. That's what they did. And they have agency and they have a right to do that. And you have to just get over it. Like that like, I don't like this candidate. It's impossible for me to imagine that other people do. The explanation has to be a nefarious plot that's how people get
1:07:57 Thomas: Good yeah yeah
1:09:02 Jenessa: Votes and it's like no they didn't walk into the polling booth a human being did like it's very frustrating yes
1:09:03 Thomas: And too is these Muslims and Muslim organizations who probably would support the Democrat anyway, support a Muslim Democrat. That's the big scandal.
1:09:18 Jenessa: Like exactly like who would they
1:09:21 Thomas: Is nothing.
1:09:22 Jenessa: The candidate were generic democrat c they probably would like I don't want to say cuomo because I a lot of people probably would have thought twice about endorsing him but if it were some some generic democrat there's many generic democrats it could have been in new york varying anywhere from slightly conservative to extremely liberal we got all kinds of brands in new yorg they probably almost all would have gotten the endorsement of these same organizations conversations yeah
1:09:31 Thomas: That guy sucks. Generic Democrat. And think about the thing they're trying to explain. Ooh, it's scary that they're supporting Mamdani and not Chex the guy who's using Islamophobic attacks against Mamdani. Yeah, these organizations aren't going to support Islamophobia. And I'm looking through her spreadsheet and it's a big spreadsheet. I could be missing it. Don't see anywhere where she's talking about money to Mamdami. All it says is endorsements. And then for money, it lists like their budgets or their revenues or like donations they've made to each other, like the organizations to each another. It. There's no place where I can find anything. I mean, again, I could be missing it, but it's like, it's also not in the article. So I don't think I'm missing it. I think she just does this thing of saying this organization endorsed Mamdani. We once saw a picture of someone with someone who was sort of related to the organization in a way. And here's the organization's budget. It.
1:09:59 Jenessa: No shit yeah okay
1:10:44 Thomas: Oh, and by the way, the budget is tiny, like relative to anything else in this space, The budget is fucking tiny. It's fucking nothing but racism. Yeah, it's their whole, exactly. Let alone whatever they might be, which, for some of these organizations is absolutely zero because they can't give stuff to, to Mamdani because they're not political. And then others, we don't know, but I feel like if she had anything, she would tell us.
1:10:46 Jenessa: And it's their whole budget what they gave to mom donnie it's Their Whole Budget correct and then it's just
1:11:08 Thomas: Unbelievable. Unbelievable.
1:11:08 Jenessa: A bunch of like and then here's this other candidate who assuming this isn't out of context this person said a very bad thing and then that's connected to him because five six degrees of kevin bacon somehow and it's just like all right I don't know man it's why why you ever have like a kid tell you a story and they're just talking and talking and then you're like wait why did the butterfly go over there and they'RE like because the butterfly loves the hippo and you'RE like where did I where there's a hippo in this story it feels like that like I just like I don'T know where you're taking me I'm just on an adventure right now this is going nowhere why
1:11:44 Thomas: Any I am required to say, because I was given $23 by George Soros, that I support Mom Donnie, a thing that I was going to say anyway, because that's who I would support. Part of it I'm part of the machine I'm his meteoric rise I only heard of him like a few months ago or whatever
1:11:50 Jenessa: My god apparently I he's just like a random assemblyman we have like hundreds of them whatever that's
1:12:04 Thomas: So dumb he's not random he's actually exquisite that's really the thing like he's a really good candidate like that explains it end of story he's fucking great candidate anyway thank you so much
1:12:16 Jenessa: Easily how people win elections is by being good at talking god
1:12:20 Thomas: Exactly. To that point earlier, they don't spend millions of dollars on unknowns. They spend millions and millions and billions of dollars on Jebs who fail because no one gives a shit. Clap. All right. Thank you, Jenessa, for taking the time. Really appreciate you as always. Sounds like I wasn't able to finish you off with the stroke. I wasn't able to have you killed.
1:12:29 Jenessa: You're not wrong I
1:12:41 Thomas: Going to check how much I'm paying for your life insurance policy, see if I can get out of that. I don't know how long I'm in it for, but thanks so much. To a very happy fuck Cuomo and Mamdani winning.
1:12:39 Jenessa: Don't know nothing surprises me anymore see ya
1:13:18 Thomas: Called them and they said, this is stupid and you're an idiot. Anyway, moving on.
1:13:23 Jenessa: Out of this town we love hamas in this city or
1:13:28 Thomas: That belief out of my town I'm mayor I'm mayer muslim sounding
