0:00:16 Thomas: Hello, and welcome to Serious Inquiries Only. This is episode 358. Yeah, that's right. Don't adjust that dial. Episode. So many of look at, look at me. Regular putter outer of episodes is what I am over here. How I wanted to talk about Tucker Carlson today, which, like, I'm sure all of us saw that Tucker Carlsson was ousted, and very unceremoniously, as they say, very quickly. His Friday episode didn't even know. He didn't know on Friday.

He said, "I'll see you Monday." In fact, there are still promos running as late as, I think, Monday, for his show that evening. So very rapid decision. Very interesting. And I just really didn't know how to feel. I didn't. You know, I had some mixed feelings about it, but then I started reading about it. And I think there's some interesting things to talk about with regard to this. I have some thoughts.

And, you know, like I mentioned the other day, I've been wanting to get back to doing a little commentary. See my thoughts on some things, and so let's start with some facts that you probably know, but just, just to get everybody on the same page, Tucker Carlson is a Nazi who, I'm just reading from the Wikipedia, Tucker Carlson is a Nazi who hosts a show about Nazism and white supremacy. Like, it's barely exaggerating.

I, I really it's troubling to see just how blatantly racist and xenophobic and many things Tucker Carlson is, and it's even more distressing when you find out that he's the most watched cable news show. So I've said before, I don't watch cable news of either side, of any side. I I'm sure there's some good cable news out there. I know there's some good reporting. I know there's plenty of smart commentary.

The thing is, it's just mingled in with so much, so much repetitive, nothing content, just, just vamping forever, and it's just not my thing. I don't, obviously don't begrudge anyone who likes cable news. And I'm sure, I think it keeps others a little bit more politically informed on certain, certain things than I am, because I just, I might miss things that the cable news folks go nuts about.

And, but I'll alternatively, you know, I also read a lot and, and probably catch things that you don't see on cable news, I hope, or I better get a refund for all my goddamn subscriptions to stuff that I have. Anyway, not only do I not watch cable news, also am just not, I've never been the kind of person who can do the, the hate watching, watching, you as, you know, it's fun to poke fun and dunk and all that.

And once, this is just my preference, I salute those who dunk for me, and sometimes hear some delightful dunking on these assholes. I just get so, it just, just, I get so depressed. It just makes me so upset to see what is being just spewed at 8 p .m. every night to our parents, and grandparents, or maybe, I know I have also all ages who listen to the show, so maybe people your age, but also, like, for my generation, you know, of us feel like we lost our parents to Fox News.

And I know there's a lot of you, I've mentioned this before, I know, there's a lot of you who connect with me on that, again, listen to Dear Old Dads, because also, I didn't really lose my family to Fox, it just didn't help. It just didn't help. You know, it, in end, it really wasn't the Fox News, I don't want to give my dad that out, that Fox News was the problem. It was mainly the other stuff. But it didn't help, I'll say.

It did not help that his brain was turned to mush by a person telling you to be scared of literally fucking everything every night. It's just truly disturbing. And, you know, I grew up in a Fox News household, as I've mentioned, and that was Bill O 'Reilly. And Bill O'Reilly, who sucks, but it is pretty remarkable to note how things can always get worse. It's just, it's incredible.

I mean, Bill, what you want about Billy O'Reilly, and we can, that guy fucking sucks, but he had a certain amount of, like, decorum and charm. I know people are going to hate me for saying that, but, like, again, relative to next you know, these things you don't see until you see the next horrible fucking we kind of, like, Trump makes you realize, like, okay, not to say that George Bush was good, you know, never saying that W was good, but you can recognize certain elements of previous iteration of right wing pieces of shit, you can recognise which ways they hadn't gone bad yet, I guess I'll say, like, which components of their personality, and say, uh, not for nothing, you do miss some of those things, at least I do, like, I do miss respect for norms in many ways, even if, uh, it's still shit, like, it's still a shit sandwich, I'm not saying it's not.

You know, O'Reilly sucked, George W. Bush perhaps caused more harm than Trump did. I mean, I mean, it's really crazy to think about. So again, there's no endorsement of those folks, but it's just interesting to notice how things can get way worse, because Tucker Carlson, he's so horrible in a weird Black Mirror -esque way, that I truly struggle to entertain the notion that it's real. Like, really, I do. Like, I could never be one of those people who's like, I'm going to watch Fox News.

Well, I shouldn't say never. I mean, this is why I've often wanted to do that. I've wanted to branch out into, like, oh, maybe I can see what the right is saying and critique it in some way that might be helpful. And then I go watch 10 minutes of Tucker Carlson, I'm like, that's not real. That didn't happen. Let's all agree that that didn't happen. And that's It's not real. I really struggle. I mean, it's just a personality quirk.

Like, I, I have a hard time with just kind of things I view as irrational and illogical. I have, I've had a hard time just even, you with them in at all. And Tucker Carlson, it is him just saying the most insane racist fear -mongering shit with, with this tone that is, again, it's otherworldly. It's like, really, should be on a big screen, like, throughout the city.

You know, like one of those dystopian things where everything's a TV with the one guy telling you what to think. Like, it really is that, that. But it's even more unpleasant, because the tone is like he's a elementary school teacher telling you that, like, no, we're not having pizza for lunch, we're having hot dogs or something.

Like, it's like, seriously, it's like that tone is, like, "Oh, actually, we 'Re not having pizza for lunch, We 'Re having hot dog." Except the thing he's saying is, like, immigrants are dirty people who are going to ruin our country. I'm not even exaggerating. Like, that's, like, literally what he's saying. I could play you a clip of him pretty much saying exactly that, but cross combine it with that tone, it's fucking it makes me sick to my stomach. How, how, how does anyone watch this?

It's here, let's play a little bit. I know you already know, and we already know, but I've just, I've been doing a bunch of research and reading all this stuff, I've been forced to, like, actually consume some fucking Tucker Carlson, so now you're gonna hear it too, damn it. Like, for example, this was pretty early on in his, uh, run on Fox News, because he was, he worked, worked for them for a while. I should have gotten into those basics.

He worked for them for a while, uh, then when Bill O'Reilly was canned for being a creep who whom they paid millions of dollars hush money, but then it was kind of discovered he was fired. And then, of course, Tucker Carlson took over. And again, having been around at that time, and kind of vaguely been paying attention to it, I saw him, his whole thing, and I was like, well, that's not going to work. Like, that guy, once again, Bill O 'Reilly had a certain charm.

Trump, again, has a certain charm. That's why he's so effectively evil. Like, he really, really charms the MAGA people into doing whatever the fuck he wants them to. Like, it's insane. Tucker Carlson is just a robot. I don't, I still don't know how he became so popular. It's just, I guess he really truly did figure out how to speak to racist American grievances in the best way. He really did. Like, he just must've distilled that down to such a science, that even this voice.

So anyway, I was going to play you a clip. This is pretty early on in the run, talking about immigration. And this is why I wasn't even exaggerating with what I said a second ago.

0:08:27 Clip: Here's a funny thing that we noticed the other day. People debate all the time about mass immigration. What you never hear anybody do is make the economic case for mass immigration. But as an economic matter, this is insane. It's indefensible, so nobody even tries to defend it. Instead, our leaders demand that you shut up and accept this. We have a moral obligation to admit the world's poor, they tell us, even if it makes our own country poorer and dirtier and more divided. Huddled masses yearning to breathe free? Nope. Cynical shakedown artists who've been watching too much CNN.

0:09:02 Thomas: God, it's, it's so, it's... I'm trying to put my finger on exactly what that tone is. It is like a newscaster, actually, I think that's probably where he gets it, but it's like if a nine-year-old boy was doing an impression of a newscaster reporting on like a klan rally, that's what it is, it's just, and now the cross is burning, uh, but it's ALL IT'S FUCKING INSANE, IT'S fucking insane. I cannot believe that this exists.

Seriously, it does, you know, and this is something I feel like I need to fix somehow with my brain or not. I mean, I guess we all pick our lanes, you know? And my lane mainly, uh, has been more of a celebration of good knowledge and like science and discovery and curiosity. And I, I 100% plan to stick to that. Don't, don't worry. But, been what I've wanted to do, I guess, lately more so than just denigrating bad ideas.

And again, this is not a judgment that you need both. Just saying my personal preferences has been to kind of stick more to that side because I truly have a hard time even seeing this. Like, I the only one? I see this and I'm like, well, well, this is, can't be real. Like nobody could watch this and go, yeah, yeah. You know what? Yeah. Who could, who could watchthis? Who could hear just, even the toneless voice and take it seriously? Is I, sorry.

So I'll move on past the point where I will get my brain, I'm going to force my brain right now to accept that this is reality and I can talk about it a little bit. This fucking guy averaged like 3.25 million viewers per night, essentially. 3.250 million, which if you don't know, is again, the highest in cable news. And the next, you or three places are the other Fox News Nazis.

So Fox News, it has a stranglehold on their audience to a degree than the left, any sort of left -leaning media has on theirs. It's just left media is more diverse. So think it means that more people in our country subscribe to Fox News views than don't. I mean, we see that every election when Republicans lose the popular vote by quite a bit, but it still is pretty shocking. It is just incredibly shocking to see how many minds are just melted by this constant fear mongering.

It's just, it's just someone telling you to be afraid of the weirdest things. Anyway, even in that clip, I love, this came up several times. I'm going to bring up maybe one or two others where he just says stuff and it's just wrong. But like in, I know that's obviously his whole point of it, but like provably, like he'll just be like, yeah, and actually this guy is red.

And you're like, I don't like you could just look outside like no one ever makes the economic case for immigration. He just said in that clip I played. Really? I have made that. I've heard people make it. I know for a fact that immigration is actually good for the economy. You actually need humans to live in your country and humans do a little thing called business. Business. It's a very technical concept I'm teaching you right now.

Humans engage in a little thing called transacting with one another. And when you have more of those humans, then there's more business. Eh? Eh? No, in his view, of course, any who would undertake the impossible task of trying to immigrate to this country when all we do is set up barriers, even under Democrats, by the way, set up barrier after barrier, which I strongly morally disagree with.

But in Tucker Carlson's mind, those people who are so desperate and so driven that they carry their loved ones to our stupid gates and unfinished walls, and they just long to maybe live in a place where they're under less threat of danger, depending on where they are coming from. And those folks who also, by the way, take on the hardest jobs in our country, the most difficult job, picking fucking vegetables. Have any of you done?

I have done that, like I, I worked on a on a ranch, on a farm, on as a kid. I'm not saying I've, I've never been my living. I don't want to try to like at all put myself in anywhere near that level, just work and striving to have to survive. I'm not saying that, but I know how hard the work is because I did it and I sucked at it, by the way. I really sucked at it. It's because it's fucking impossible and you make pennies.

And so these folks who are, again, driven that they're going through hell to get here, and then when they get here, they're going through more hell to make pennies. Those people, according to Tucker Carlson, are going to ruin the country because they're lazy. And mind bogglingly stupid in every way. I just, it's so backwards. I, yeah, in case you missed that quote again, immigration, you know, makes America poorer and dirtier and more divided. It's just so blatant. I know this has been covered.

I'm not here to just do like a recap of how racist Tucker Carlson is. But again, it's like every time I see it, I'm newly horrified and I just had to share a few. I'm going to share a couple other clips along the way. But no, I wanted to talk about kind of what's going on here and what are the implications. Reporting on this is so weird and the circumstances really are weird. It's been hard. Like, I've just been very curious to figure it out.

I've consumed all the, you know, the main major outlets and their write -ups on it as of time of recording, and stuff develops fast. So if some information further comes out, it makes me sound like I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about. It's because I, you know, I'm stuck in the time dimension over here, but as of now, there's, there are several different outlets reporting several different things. I think it's interesting. So maybe we'll look at it here.

And the LA Times reports that himself who made the decision. They note that it could have been about a lawsuit filed by a former employee, Carlson's on -air assertions that Ray Epps, a man who was part of the January 6th riots, was an FBI informant, which the FBI has denied. The night before Carlson's firing, 60 Minutes aired an interview with Epps where he said Carlson's statement led to death threats, and quote. That was the L.A. Times reporting that, which, by the way, just just reading this kind of thing where people are speculating on which thing it was. Because, and once again, as somebody who just cannot fucking look at this stuff, just peering into the horrors that await, where it's like, well, it could be this thing.

0:15:32 Thomas: Sorry, it's horrible. All he could do is laugh. It could be when he asserted that a man who was part of the January 6th riots was an FBI informant with no evidence. And then, you know, that person's been getting constant death threats. That's everything. It could be that, or it could be like, there was a time he did a beheading on the show live. Could be that. Let's see.

What else could have, you know, it's just like, what the fuck else am I going to see in this Pandora's box of horror? Sorry. I always do that because of Mystery Men. Fantastic movie. Underrated movie. Actually, everybody hates it, but I think it's, I think it's genuinely funny. Stand by that.

Uh, this Pandora's box, this Lovecraftian horror, just into these reasons, potential reasons why Tucker Carlson would have been fired, is truly like when the old 90s movie thing, if someone leaves a flaming bag of shit on your doorstep, it's like taking that flaming bag and blowing out and go, and then like opening up and looking inside and be like, "Hmm, wonder what's in here. What could it be?" Yeah, so that's one of them. That thing I just read you.

Wall Street Journal has kind of a different take. I like the Wall Street Journal's. It's certainly their opinion section is, boy, as bad as Tucker Carlson. But I do believe that they're, you who do the news still are okay. And what's kind of funny is when you have a story like this, that's about a Fox News thing, the people who actually are in the know, the Fox News, like, you know, staffers and all that shit, they're going to talk to right-wing sources.

So often you have to look at more right wing sources to get that kind of information in a case like this. The Wall Street Journal reported that the decision to fire Carlson came from Murdoch's son, Lachlan, who is the CEO of Fox Corp, and well as Fox News CEO, Suzanne Scott. So that was kind of their angle, which, again, again, they're just playing out the little succession type stuff, I guess. Like, no, it wasn't the big boss. It was the son.

So And I also have seen it reported that Suzanne Scott, in the phone call where she fired Tucker Carlson, said it came from on high. You know, so it's like, fucking, who knows? I guess I don't, you know, that component of it, which actual Murdoch did the firing, I don't really care about that, another thing about it. But anyway, just showing like how mixed and how confused this is.

It's not, you know, it's it's rare that I've seen so many different, you know, reputable sources reporting very different things about one event. It's just interesting. And options that people have reported on. Of course, you've heard about the lawsuit and the settlement. Uh, news settled with Dominion. And part of that whole fight, that whole lawsuit, were these texts that have been revealed. Now, my first reaction to all this was that, well, that can't possibly be it, because they've already done that damage.

Like, this is kind of old news. You know, it would be weird for the text to come out, or to be a part of that lawsuit, and for Fox News execs to know about that forever. And then they come out publicly, by the way, the texts. And then after a while, they settle, and then they fire Tucker Carlson. It just seemed weird to me. Like, they didn't really make a whole lot of sense.

And the texts I saw, I'm, are horrible, because Tucker Carlson is, of course, a horrible person, but they didn't, I'm trying to decipher like, okay, but what's horrible enough for the other horrible people to fire him? That's what I'm, that's what's always a puzzle here. Like, okay, which brand of horrible was too horrible for the, like, Nazis in charge, to fire the lower, the, well, I shouldn't say he's a lower down Nazi.

He really, he might be the head Nazi, you know, that's part of the conflict. So I hear, uh, Carlson thinking that he's, he's the highest Nazi on the Nazi pole or whatever. At first, I was confused, but I have seen it reported by the New York Times that it's, is possible that, due to the way the kind of the law stuff goes, that those texts that were redacted were not available to Fox executives until recently.

I've seen that reported both ways, so I don't know for sure, but that is some of the speculation. It's from the New York Times, so it's, you like, I read it on a tweet. And so that might make a little sense, you like that would explain that, because I was really confused. Like, why now? Like, it just seems like a weird time, after all this shit happened and came out and all that, you know, the dirty laundry's already been out for a while.

And then you're like, all right, now you're fired. That But could explain it. But also there's reporting that there may be even worse texts that are under redaction, that, and that's part of the settlement, you that would kind of go along with that storyline, line like if for some reason Fox execs, you fully see all the unredacted texts until recently, I guess that could explain both the settlement happening when it did, then also this firing happening when it did, because that's been the weirdest thing about the settlement, is why did you go through all the pain that you went through first?

Like, if you're going to settle to keep shit out of the news, then just settle, like you know. But they let it get far enough that we saw a bunch of really bad shit, and then settled. It just seemed very weird. But maybe this explains it, but it just seems, still seems weird to me. Like, the person who's going to be making decisions about almost a billion dollars in settlement wouldn't have had enough information to make that decision until recently. It's just seems wrong.

I mean, I mean, maybe there's some legal reason for that, but that seems hard to believe to me. Also, along the lines of, oh, settled in order to avoid some more bad texts coming out, I could be wrong, but it strikes me that like, why would you do that? Like, wouldn't you do one thing or the other? Wouldn't you either keep him and settle in order to protect your asset? Because Tucker Carlson obviously is a big asset to Fox.

Nobody can deny that, that massive asset to Fox News. Like, why would you settle to protect him, but then fire him? It seems like you would do one or the other. You either don't settle, you fight it out and say, yeah, I don't care that you're going to air our dirty laundry about Tucker Carlson, because we're goingto fire him and fuck him. And then that way you can negotiate your settlement down more, or, you know, not settle, I guess, keep fighting it out.

So that seems kind of weird to me. But I suppose, who knows, maybe all that was in the mix in terms of what number both sides were willing to agree on. If you are paying like a lot of money in order to keep stuff out of the news, like if you're caving in a lawsuit, it just feels like you would want to make use of that by not also firing the guy that it's harming.

But I don't know, maybe the texts involve more than just Tucker Carlson, and it's bad for everybody. It just still seems they really didn't do that right. I don't know. Settle earlier or never. It seems bizarre to me. Anyway, another story in this about Abby Grossberg, who was a previous employee working on Tucker Carlson's show, and she has a lawsuit alleging sexism in the workplace and lots of denigrating, I suppose, of women and Jewish people. And so that's another consideration.

Again, I'm trying, you're trying to figure out like, all right, what's the, what's the shittiness that was too shitty for the other shitty people? And it's a hard mindset to get in. One more little storyline that I thought was worth mentioning that was funny, which is Vanity Fair reports. Again, there's like five different sources with five different things. Very weird. Vanity Fair reports that Tucker Carlson might've been too religious for Rupert Murdoch, which I find funny. And the details are kind of funny here.

So apparently, when Tucker Carlson did a speech to the Heritage Foundation, he said something like politics has become a Manichaean battle between good and evil, and we should pray for 10 minutes a day about it, or some crap. And Rupert Murdoch heard that and thought it was weird. But also, this same Vanity Fair reporter apparently a while back reported that Murdoch's, so this is Rupert Murdoch, 92 year old guy, was, was apparently engaged to somebody.

It says, quote, "Murdoch and Smith called off their two -week engagement because Smith had told people that Carlson was a messenger from God. Murdoch's had seen Carlson and Smith discuss religion firsthand. In late March, Carlson had dinner at Murdoches Bel Air vineyard and with Murdochen Smith, according to source. During dinner, Smith pulled out a Bible and started reading passages from the book of Exodus, the source said. Rupert just sat there and stared, the source said.

A few days after the dinner, Murdoch and Smith called off the wedding." By taking Carlson off the air, Murdoch was also taking away his ex's favorite show. Boy, there's a lot there.

0:23:59 Thomas: First off, you're 90 fucking two. You're almost done. Like you're any minute now, you know, you're like, you re almost as old as Joe Biden at 92. Sorry, are you getting married at 92? What is in it for you to get married at 90? I guess I just, that's not how I approach life, I guess. Just doing one marriage is what I'm doing. And I don't mean like, oh, I'm some wholesome, like I'll never, ever could my marriage end.

No, like, I mean, it's possible that my marriage could end, but I'm still only doing one marriage. I've told Lydia this. She's, she's aware. Like, why would I do another? I did the one marriage I, you know, have lovely marriage, amazing marriage and kids. And I fully intend for that to work out forever. But if it somehow didn't, like, why would I do another one?

I did the one that you do, you just, what's with the people marrying so much, you give one good try at it. Yeah, maybe two if you, you get a mulligan, if, you know, maybe you did too early or something, but still getting married over and over up to the age of 92. Don't get it. I understand that. That's not how I do things. It's not how I plan to do things, who knows. Yeah, those are, it is probably not all of them.

But those are like the main reasons I saw from, you again, these are all legitimate sources. These aren't just people, speculating, it s just weird. Realize, though, like, what has happened is there's so many shitty things in the past that Tucker Carlson has said and done, horrible things that when he didn't get fired, it just made it feel like, oh, OK, well, they just love him that, you know, like, for example, I mean, just go, there's so many that, that clip I already played.

There's the great replacement crap that he's done. There's, I mean, there's some, there's so much. There's the fact that he was such a piece of shit. He lost like all of his advertisers. Now here's the weird thing. He still was making tons of advertising money. I'm not sure how, I guess they were able to replace the real advertisers with enough MyPillow guys or something that, uh, and looking at the numbers in another article, he was still making more ad money than any other cable news show.

Even though I thought, I thought he barely had ads because they all boycotted him, I thought, but I guess maybe there's enough right-wing dating apps and shit that still wanted to pay him millions of dollars to advertise on the show. So anyway, even amidst all that, like advertiser boycotts, all that stuff, didn't fire him, so it felt like an endorsement. And I'm realizing that that might not have been the correct way of looking at it, like, not necessarily an endorsement.

This is a minor distinction, but I think it maybe explains what's going on here. Like in my mind, I'm just talking about how I was thinking of it. In my mind, when I see that he's done and said these horrible things and Fox News is like, cool, not firing him, that just went down in my mind as an endorsements by the Murdochs or by the fucking whoever else CEOs or whatever. I mean, it actually could be that just, like, this is too, too much shitty stuff.

Like, like instead of that being an endorsement, I guess maybe what could have been going on there is Murdoch or whoever is like, boy, this guy fucking sucks, but all right, I guess we'll keep him because he does make us a lot of money.

And I suppose that maybe if it was more like that, and you get, I don't know, 20 of those things, by the time you get to the 20th one, which is, you know, these texts that came out possibly, and, and maybe this workplace lawsuit that, that might go wrong, and some other things, maybe that really is just the straw that breaks the camel's back. And you're like, all right, they weren't endorsing him all along.

They were probably like making money off him and putting up with some stuff, but ultimately are like, well, fuck this guy, that's too much. So I don't know, that's kind of my read on it. Like maybe the reason we're getting so many different things reported by so many any different major news sources is it might've just been like, all right, finally, it was too many shitty things for the Murdochs or whoever. And that maybe that's it. It's just, it just was bizarre.

Like I'm still expecting there to be some deeper story, but it does seem like it's just he sucked enough finally for, like, the most evil people to the second most, most evil people, I guess, to fire the most evil person. I don't know, it's crazy. I really did have to note this quote though, this is, this is so fucked. You know, there are people that I'm just, I've been too correct about to the point where like it's, it's uncanny.

Not saying I'm always right, but boy, there have been some people, you know, cough, David Smalley, cough, Rubin, cough, Jordan Peterson. There's a lot of people who, when they first, you, you know, when I first noticed them, they were in perhaps higher graces with folks. And then I think I called it on them. Glenn Greenwald, I've got to say, is one of those. Check out this quote from Glenn Greenewald on Tucker Carlson being fired. Greenwald says, "The removal of Tucker means the elimination of the only real sustained dissent on U.S. militarism, the U.S. security state and more."

0:28:46 Thomas: Yeah. A true, we've lost truly an American hero in Tucker Carlson. God, what a fucking piece of shit Greenwald is. Like, it's incredible. Never get over it. Like I called it, but still can't get over how, like I was too right. Not saying I was the only one out there or anything, but like, there are a lot of people, him as well.

There are people who have allegedly had progressive views and been sort of darlings to a segment of the left who then that left kind of hangs on to. I don't blame him. But, you know, you see a few examples of Taibbi or Glenn Greenwald doing some and saying some shit. And then they're like, yeah, but, you know, I really loved his work on this book over here where he's like, yeah, I know.

But like, I think he might really fucking suck has been my position on both those people for a few years. And uh, now it's like, Okay, I, I didn't want to be this correct. I didn't, I really, I really didn't want to be so correct on Glenn Greenwald that it's to the point where fucking Tucker Carlson is going off the air and he's like doing his flag at half mast and crying and playing taps. It's incredible.

I do, what the fuck, what in the world with Glenn Greenwald, that is just crazy, crazy. So I've been kind of, I've been trying to digest and sort of examine, I don't know how I feel about this personally. I've seen lot of celebration which makes sense, like it's always good when the piece of shit is no longer in as good a position in media. That's that's always good. I've also seen like the other direction of that.

There's a group of people who do this with a lot of things where it's like, oh, but now we're gonna to get something worse. And I don't blame, like, I, I agree with that. We, we probably will get something worse, but I thought this was just kind of an interesting philosophical thing to think about.

Caught myself saying that, that same thing, like, you know, what I said earlier, boy, Bill O'Reilly, it sure was nice to celebrate him leaving, or even Glenn Beck or those people, it sure is nice that he got shit canned, for example, and then you see Tucker Carlson come after that and it's just like, holy fucking give bring back, like not really, but also kind of like.

Like if after two weeks of Tucker Carlson, someone would have said like, hey, if you push this button, you'll actually get Bill O'Reilly back somehow, I'd been like, you know, I think I might push that button. It's a weird feeling. It's like I'm not going to root for it. And I never, if I were in any position where I could make a decision, which obviously I'm not.

But like if I, if I had any sort of influence over the outcome, I would never voluntarily prop up someone who's fucking sucks just because the next person might fucking suck times 1.5 because I just think that I, that's immoral to do. Like I think that you have to do what you can and then if the world or Fox News is going to be more evil after that, you can't like take on that behavior as your responsibility in a way.

You know, it's interesting because I tend to be really consequentialist in my views. And I do think, honestly, in my opinion, I think all, all moral philosophy actually does boil down to consequentialism. I think it's a lot of fancy words that in the end boil down to consequences, but it'll just be consequences on a longer term or a longer timeframe or in a different way.

But we'll leave that aside because Aaron from Philosophers in Space, I sense him dialing in to argue with me right now. But I, to be very consequentialist. But when it comes to stuff like that, I think I have a firm line that you can't be so dedicated to just looking at the net consequences of decisions that you start engaging in bad behavior yourself. Like you start going along with bad things just because the worst thing might be slightly worse, because there's so many unknowns.

Like we don't, we don't know what's going to happen. You know, for all we know, yeah, it feels inevitable that the next thing will be worse. It feels inevitable that the next thing after Trump will be worse than Trump. It isn't inevitable. And with any human endeavor, there's tons of uncertainty. There's always uncertainty.

And I think the idea of accidentally, in whatever way, having propped up someone who's really evil, just out of a fear of maybe there'd be another worse evil, um, even if it's a pretty well substantiated fear, if you're not the one causing that, like if that's somebody else's actions, I feel like the risk of like you having helped the evil thing when actually maybe the next person that would come along wouldn't work out for whatever.

Now I'm not saying whoever goes into that slot will be like better than Tucker. I'm not saying that they won't be better than Tucker Carlson, but like maybe the next person who comes along just is so bad at the job that no longer want to watch that show. Like they could move to a different thing. Like there could be reasons that actually, no, even though the next version of the show is worse, maybe the next person's not as successful.

Maybe they're not as, I don't know, talented in what they do. And so they're not as competently evil. And then, you a better outcome. Know, this is a little abstract, but I really, this with some of the 2020 election talk. Don't want to get too much into the old battles of the non -voting, the segment of the far left on Twitter that advocates not voting for Joe Biden in 2020 because it's stop doing the lesser of two evils because that's how we get more.

It's just all this stuff that I've argued against and I've yelled about for so long. I'm sure you've heard it. I vehemently disagree with all that. But what, what I find really funny, and I'm not sure if anyone listening will have witnessed the same thing because it was a very Twitter thing, but there was this segment of the far left. I guess I'll call it the far right. The dirtbag left, the whatever left.

It's in 2020, their pitch, because this comes along every election, 2016, 2020, it'll come up every time that whoever the Democrat is, is not left enough. So therefore we need to not vote for them and let the right wing person win because that will accomplish something.

Thing, it's completely stupid and backwards in every way, but because Trump was truly so fucking horrible that it was really, really difficult to try to maintain any argument that like the greater good would be served by allowing Trump to remain in office. In 2020, the arguments got so fucking funny, and I just remembered a few of them, and I want to bring them up because I liken it to this a little bit.

Are people who in the waning weeks of the 2020 election, we're trying to argue that, no, no, if we let Joe Biden win, then the next Republican. For one, that was fucking wrong, obviously. But that will end Trump and then the next Republican will be even worse. And the person they cited at that time, I swear to God, I square this happened, I swear to you. And it wasn't just one person.

This was like, I saw this argument a lot and it must be because some left -wing fucking podcaster somewhere made it, and so a bunch of people repeated it. They said no, just wait until you see John Bolton, he's

0:35:39 Thomas: That so therefore since he's so much worse, we can't let Biden win because then Trump will go away and then John Bolton, it's just fucking nonsense. But, I mean, what's so funny about it is like, fucking obvious, it was that John Bolton is never going to win a goddamn election in the world. And they're going to do it with Ron DeSantis, too. They did it with Ron DeSantis already, I think, at that time. Well, maybe not at that time.

But like, Ron DeSantis is the next person who people are talking about, you know, around a year ago or whatever. People were talking about Ron DeSantis as like, oh, he's going to be the next. He's coming next. He's going down the pipeline. And that's going to be even worse than Trump. And look, there may be somebody who comes along that does Trump better than Trump and is more evil than Trump. It may happen.

What's funny is that people just keep assuming there's some heir apparent that can take over. What's really interesting is that so far there just isn't like anybody else. John Bolton was floated. Ron DeSantis, Ron DeSantis is like already lost the primary. He has not even declared. He has not even declared and he has already lost. It's remarkable. He is the least charismatic person. And apparently in your fascist demagoguery, you need a little bit of charisma of a type.

I'm not saying it's good charisma that I love or anything, but it's like you need an appeal of a kind. You need to be entertaining in some way. You need to be engaging in some way. And the people who try to take up this mantle of being the next Trump, they just never have it. It's really funny to see how quickly they just crash and burn. And so I was just reminded of those arguments because of, you know, that sentiment.

By the way, I was feeling myself too. This is not a criticism. That sentiment of, well, shit, Tucker's gone, but I can't celebrate it because the next thing will be worse. And I caught myself having that thought and I was like, you know, fuck that. I'm going to, I am celebrating that this asshole is off Fox News because I'll tell you, in looking at the history, the people who have gotten fired from that job and some jobs like that, they haven't come out on top.

They really haven't. I mean, Tucker Carlson could always be the exception. And yes, he has a rabid following, of course, but like Fox News is kind of more powerful. Like it really is. You the channel that all our fucking asshole parents are just brainwashed by like that. That's the Channel that they watch. And so if the guy goes off the channel to, I don't know, a podcast or something, there's some speculation on whether or not he has a non -compete. He would imagine he probably would.

I think, they, from what I understand, he just signed a contract in 2021 for allegedly around $20 million a year, and they still have to pay him that for it's been estimated maybe three years or so, like something in that range. So this is not at all a cheap decision by by Fox. This is costing nothing but money.

And by the way, the stock has dropped quite a bit in the wake of this firing, that's down like half a billion to a billion dollars, so losses coming out of their asses lately but the unfortunate thing is they uh fear-mongering and appealing to the worst racist qualities and xenophobic qualities in white America, apparently that's just worth even more fucking money than they've lost in the last few weeks. So that sucks, but it's always good to see him losing money.

I do like that. Yeah, I guess that's the next little topic is what do you think, what happens next for Tucker Carlson? There's a few things people are speculating on. People think that he might run for president. This is just pure speculation. I don't even know how much to entertain that, but I don't know. It's something to think about because, fuck, who else is going to run?

Like, I mean, nobody, I could do another hour about how Republicans are so inept and they're such cowards that are obviously going to allow Trump to be the candidate again. I mean unless something crazy happens, none of them has the guts to do what needs to be done. And it's not clear that it would even work, you anyway, Anyway, I'll save that for another day. Point is, Tucker Carlson really doesn't like Trump, and he has shown no qualms with going after other Republicans.

I mean, the clips, if you've heard the clips of him just going after Ted Cruz or whatever, and Ted Cruz just crumbling, just recognizing that he has to grovel at Tucker Carlsen's feet, that's something to behold. And it doesn't strike me as impossible that Tucker Carlson could be the Republican to do that to Trump. Like, I don't, I wouldn't bet on it. Like I put the odds pretty low, but it's not impossible. And it would be very interesting.

It would be, it would be very interesting here. Would, would he be, maybe he would be worse than, God, I don't know. I don't know. I just don't. I don't think he could win, but, but he could Win a primary. Maybe. He like the only person who could win? But then again, I think people overestimate how well people in one format will do in another. You know, it's one thing for Tucker Carlson, who, boy, no fucking charisma.

Sort of talent to be able to capture that audience the way he did. I don't know that that translates over to political speeches, to debates, to campaign events. I don't know. It could. I don't know that it would. And I don't know that he wants to do that. But I did see that speculation, wanted to mention it, if he has a non -compete clause, which it's possibly does.

I mean, he could be frozen out of competing for, well, for one, if he's still getting paid by his contract, that wouldn't even kick in yet. I guess if he still getting, I would imagine, I'm not a lawyer, but I would imagine if you're just taking him off the air essentially, but saying, yeah, we're still, we have an arrangement in the contract to pay you, assuming there isn't some provision for this, like, I guess that non -compete wouldn't even kick in until like the contract is terminated.

And then at which time, then it might have that language of like, and also, you know, you agree to not do any fucking rival show for, I don't know, five years, who knows? I'm pure speculation, but like, that seems to me pretty common in the industry, amount of non - Compete. And again, if he's still under contract, then there's going to be a very limited range of things I would imagine that he could do during that time. Could always give up his $20 million a year.

Well, I say he could always. I don't know. Again, nobody knows what this contract says. He may have some way to get out of it. He may not. He may be, you know, could just break the contract and face consequences. Who knows? No, nobody really knows. There are some guesses. But one of the guesses was if he's really restricted in what he could do, maybe he would run for something. Thing. President, maybe he could run for a Senate or something. Who knows? And that would suck.

So not looking forward to that. Hoping that doesn't happen. Let's say he does somehow find a way to compete. Really don't know how well he's going to, he'll do well. Like obviously he'll do, he will make money. Like he, I'm not saying he's gonna fail, but like, I don't really hear from Glenn Beck that much. I know he has a show of some kind, he has podcast, he does a something. Then I don't really hear from him much. Bill O 'Reilly has a podcast, I think.

I think he was still doing some, but you just, they don't, they really lose relevance. I Think Fox News as a platform does provide them quite a lot. He'll be successful, but will he take up as much cultural space as he does now? I don'T think so. I would bet no. And I also would bet that he's not going to be allowed to do that, but who knows?

Another concern, again, along the lines of, Oh, can we have a nice thing or do we have to worry about the even worse thing coming after it? That really is the theme, I guess, of today's show is Newsmax saw an absolute swell of their audience this week because of this. And Newsmax is fucking again. Tucker Carlson is one thing and he is fucking Nazi on a Nazi network spreading Nazi shit and he was Newsmax's even worse.

Worse like it's even worse it's it's hard to believe but it is it's even worse audience tripled this week from what I'm seeing now note of optimism the numbers aren't very big so they went from 146 ,000 some average I think average prime time maybe audience to 531 ,000 so not anywhere near those fox news numbers but I mean once you start flirting with millions, you're still, boy, going from 146 ,000, that's like, all right, that's pretty minor to half a million. And then who knows?

I mean, if somehow Tucker were to go over to Newsmax, I don't know if he can, boy that would be interesting. That would be a way that it's possible he could make me eat my words and could become as relevant or more relevant after Because I think my money is on, he will not his current level or sorry, his level of relevance he had before this. I don't think he'll be able to achieve that again because history has shown that these people just don't.

And again, he has the least charisma of anyone to ever be fired from this fucking job. Furthermore, I think whoever substitutes in for him will be able to eventually capture that audience mostly because, and actually because Tucker Carlson has zero fucking charisma of any kind, I think his success was largely due to his choice of topics and his choice you know his his willingness to just really fucking squeeze that xenophobia and racism out of that I just really milk that really encourage that to a to a level that was just again it's as bad as you thought the last guy was he was fucking way worse and I think it's pretty obvious to see how that worked and I I think it will be pretty obvious to whoever takes over to just reproduce that formula.

And I that viewers will switch over, go to that, and, you know, Tucker Carlson will have moderate success somewhere. But I really do think this is actually, I guess I've convinced myself in the end, like, no, we can have nice things in a way. It is good that this fucking piece of shit won't be on the air anymore. He'll still have hundreds of millions of dollars, I'm sure, in assets. Assets and nevermind. I'm not happy. So we can't have good things.

We just can not beat ourselves up too much about a slightly good piece of news. I guess that's overall my conclusion. Just wanted to throw some other, a couple other things in here. Was just watching his final show and don't think this is his full show. It's like a 10 minute clip. Maybe it's his main fucking speech. I don'T know. It'S what'S on YouTube. Maybe they don'T put the rest of the show on me. The rest of shows on, I DON'T know who cares.

I WAS watching this and it'S just fucking, again, I wanted to mention it. I wanted TO go through it a little bit because fucking insane but also like well let me just play some stuff for you once and again just listen to how he just fucking asserts things like he's a nine year old doing a newscaster impression did

0:45:59 Clip: Centuries, politicians in this country assumed that in order to win an election, you had to convince voters to vote for you. You had to make their case. That was called democracy. But the defining strategic insight of the modern democratic party is that you don't really need to convince anyone of anything. Anything. What matters is demographics. You need to import enough people from elsewhere, people who are financially dependent on you in order to live. That's the story of the state of California. That's why California changed. It's why Texas is changing. But it's also happening at the local level all over the country. Democrats have realized that they win the vote in virtually every major city. But the suburbs remain contested.

And that matters because suburban voters like school boards and state legislators and of course members of Congress. So if you want total control over the entire country you need demographic change everywhere including in the suburbs. This is a very obvious insight and Democrats have been on the case for quite a while. Back in 2009 the Obama administration took the county of Westchester in New York, a solidly Democratic place, to court. Why'd they do that?

Well the administration withheld tens of millions of dollars in federal funding unless Westchester pledged to build 10,000 low income, high density apartments in their suburbs. The Obama administration later implemented a rule requiring suburbs to take, quote, affirmative steps to diversify their neighborhoods or else they would lose federal money.

0:46:07 Thomas: Because that's That's Already Not true Yeah Man, or, like, there's a housing fucking crisis for the last couple decades in this country, and maybe, maybe Democrats just want people to be able to have a place to live. That could be another explanation. I mean, your explanation of mustache twirling fucking conspiracy to get votes is also on the table, I suppose. Like, God, it's just, it's incredible. Still, I still am in disbelief that people just would watch this. They just watch someone telling you that the fucking Illuminati are doing it. Like, it's every single sentence is that they

0:48:00 Clip: The Biden administration didn't give up just because democracy didn't produce the results they wanted. Instead, they still plan to change the suburbs forever by getting rid of them. Joe Biden's HUD Secretary Marsha Fudge, a former member of Congress, explained last year that the administration was concerned that African Americans cannot afford homes, not because they're poor, but because home appraisers are racist. Watch. What the president has said is that we have to look at everything through a lens of equity. And so what we have realized is that people selling homes, just as the persons you were talking about, and even people buying homes, if their appraisal is not not correct. What we find, especially as black people and communities of color and underserved communities, is we lose great wealth just through the appraisal process.

0:48:09 Thomas: Can I get rid Of this, God I

0:48:46 Clip: Notice here the seizing of the moral high ground. Big picture, if the Biden administration cared about African Americans, they probably wouldn't withdraw the police from America's cities. So, of course, they don't care.

0:48:56 Thomas: Already have to, I was gonna wait for the bigger punch line, but I already have to stop it there to just say, like, can you unweave that, that fucking tapestry of nonsense. Like, OK, so they, doesn't care about people because if they did, they wouldn't withdraw police from Black communities. He thinks that withdrawing police from Black communities is bad.

OK, I'll, that he thinks that's all go that, then Democrats, who I guess are in charge of all the police everywhere, even though most of the time they're just not, like, I guess sometimes that, sometimes there may be somebody ostensibly on the left making police decisions.

But a lot of times what happens is the fucking police withdraw themselves to a little fit to show that, like, if anybody threatens at all for there to be consequences to, I don't know, them killing Black people or whatever, they withdraw themselves in order to apply pressure and, you do this little, like, well, I'm going to take my ball and go home thing, except that's a lot higher stakes when their ball is like law enforcement, that's, that's a bit higher stakes.

But anyway, let's assume that's all true. So then, never had such a hard time figuring something out since quantum computing. This is, this is quantum computing -esque. Try to figure out all the logic gates here, um, they don't like, okay, so the left doesn't like Black people, and that's why they pull the police out of Black communities, but then, so then they're doing, presumably then the left is doing that on purpose to hurt Black people, so the left is like mustache swirling once again, they're like, hey, we actually, I know we say we like Black and also, by the way, according Tucker Carlson, we are all Black, like, also, like, that's, set that aside, um, know know, we say we like Black people, but let's take the police out of the neighborhoods because actually we don't like them and we want them to, what, like, die?

I get like, what, what's, what, the step three, profit in that, you know, the step two, question mark, step three. So, like, the left hates, hates Black people, but we also want there to just be Black people living everywhere so that we win elections, right? So how does taking police out of the, help that?

It's just, my brain hurts because it doesn't matter to Tucker Carlson, the fucking logic of this doesn't fucking matter, you can just allege every different motivation and conspiracy every which way and they don't have to have any consistency, it's fucking incredible.

In a segment where he's saying the left, the Biden administration and the left want the suburbs to be overrun with, let's face it, Black people is what he's saying, but to be overrun with people, people who will vote for them, in that very segment that he's saying that. So, therefore, the left would have an interest in, I don't know, maintaining the safety of that population.

Again, this very segment, he's saying that the whole point of it is the left is trying to arbitrarily win elections by just importing more bodies. But no, we all, we also on the left, we hate Black people secretly because, we take police out of their community and allow them to shoot each other. I just fucking fuck this guy. God, it's the worst. Anyway, I had to pause there, but here's the main point.

0:51:56 Clip: Point of fact, former Congressman Marsha Fudge and the clips you just saw presented no evidence whatsoever there are white supremacist home appraisers in this country or that they are running amok. If they exist, who are they? Well, she couldn't tell us, but instead she offered this anecdote. I live two doors from an all-white community, I live in an all-Black community, my house is larger than the house two doors for me, my lot is larger than the house two doors for me, but my house is valued at $25,000 less than the house two doors for me. And so once we can start to address and just own up to the fact that we are continuing to discriminate and redline in our housing efforts, then I think that we can make sure that we start to deal with the racial wealth gap.

0:52:41 Clip: Yeah, so as the left is often telling you, an anecdote is not a study. Noticing something around you doesn't make it universally true. You've proved nothing. You're really told us a little story. Marsha Fudge's lived experience tells her that there is racism in home appraisals, but there's still no data on that. There's no evidence whatsoever. It is at this point completely made up. Home

0:53:08 Thomas: Okay. Let me just Google, is there racism in home appraisal? The amount that Tucker Carlson and this kind of media relies on their audience to be so fucking brainwashed that they literally won't just type one Google search. Because that's all I literally just typed, just was curious. I typed in my computer, is there racism in home appraisal? Just to see. And oh, look, here's what comes up. Because I want to remind you the claim that was actually, let me play that again to just play the strength of the claim just made right here.

0:53:46 Clip: There's no data. There is no evidence. There's still data on it. There isn't evidence whatsoever, it is at this point completely made up. Evening.

0:53:53 Thomas: Well, here's something from before this. So here's something that predates that segment you just heard. New York Times: widespread racial bias found in home appraisals. And here's the thing. Oh, that's the leftist New York Times, you know, so they're just, probably someone is, and that's an opinion writer who's just, say no, this is Housing Finance Agency, under Biden, of his direction, released 47 million appraisal reports to the public. That's a fucking shitload of data.

Appraisals, which were compiled between 2013-2021, present evidence of a persistent widespread practice in the home appraisal industry to give higher values to homes when the occupants are white and devalue them if the owners are people of color. I'll keep reading. Reading, analyzing the millions of appraisals by using census tracts as a proxy for neighborhoods and comparing communities with nearly identical housing stock, two researchers found that the results showed a clear correlation.

The higher the proportion of white residents in each community, the higher the appraised value of individual homes. The researchers restricted their study to neighborhoods with at least 500,000 people and at least 50,000 residents of color and ensured that not, not only did the houses in the compared communities look similar, but residents were of the same socioeconomic status, and amenities like parks, grocery stores, and local services such as banks and post offices were on par.

That sure sounds like there's really good data on, like, incredibly good data and a well -done study that, you know, isolates the variables and, via and, good science tells us explicitly that yes, the fuck there is racism in house appraisal. Again, it's barely worth saying, but, like, the fact that he has to present this argument as, oh, there's white nationalist home appraisers, there's not a fucking racist home. No, it doesn't have to be that. It doesn't, literally, it probably isn't that. Like, there's just bias.

And if you look at the numbers, that bias that probably none of those home appraisers are aware of, I bet you not of them are even aware that this is happening. They're probably not doing it on purpose. It doesn't fucking matter. If you, in the numbers, they are doing it, can see it in the numbers, the data is there. Predates your fucking segment, you idiot. Your producers or you or somebody didn't type a single Google search. You didn't do one search. One sentence of searching.

That's all I did. Right. I got to play one more clip. This is like one of my all -time unsettling Tucker Carlson clips that I've ever heard. You'll probably recognize it from a year ago.

0:56:30 Clip: And welcome to Tucker Carlson Tonight. Since the day that Donald Trump became president, Democrats in Washington have told you you have a patriotic duty to hate Vladimir Putin. It's not a suggestion, it's a mandate. Anything less than hatred for Putin is treason. Many Americans Have

0:56:45 Thomas: What? Sorry. Once again, again, I'm solving it before the main point. What? Just the fucking, God, it's, you know, I have kids. This is a lot like five-year-old behavior where like, hey, can you go over there? And then your kid's like, oh, you want us to go over their die? And it's just like this ridiculous exaggerations. We have to go there or else you're going to kill us. It's the entire shtick. What are you fucking talking about? What the fuck a

0:57:18 Clip: Obeyed this directive they now dutifully hate Vladmir Putin maybe you're one of them hating Putin has become the central purpose of America's foreign policy. It's the main thing that we talk about. Entire

0:57:20 Thomas: Directive dutifully what the shut the fuck up no Man, the guy sucks, or yeah, maybe the thing you're saying, fucking idiot, or maybe he's really goddamn horrible and he's terrible and he is someone who everyone just does not like. Like, this

0:57:42 Clip: Channels are now devoted to it. Very soon that hatred of Vladimir Putin could bring the United States into a conflict in Eastern Europe. Before that happens, it might be worth asking yourself, since it is getting pretty serious, what is this really about? Why do I hate Putin so much? Has Putin ever called me a racist? Has he threatened to get me fired for disagreeing with him? Has he shipped every middle-class job in my, my town to Russia? Did he manufacture a worldwide pandemic that wrecked my business and kept me indoors for two years? Is he teaching my children to embrace racial discrimination? Is he making fentanyl? Is trying to snuff out Christianity? Does he eat dogs? These are fair questions, and the answer is yes.

0:58:01 Thomas: Wow.

0:58:23 Thomas: It is equal parts disturbing and hilarious. There's perhaps nothing that I guess to round this out, that just epitomizes this whole worldview as effectively as, do you hate Vladimir Putin so much? Did he call you a racist? What the fuck?

0:58:44 Thomas: As though that's the worst thing a person can do, by the way, is call you a racist. That's thing he fucking says in his list, I'm do we hate Putin so much? Did he call you? Did he ever call you racist? That's like, Oh, does he systematically jail and torture and kill people who oppose him? Or just remarkable, it's so funny that that's your first choice, not all the, like, atrocities that Putin has actually committed, it's, it's, did, did he, did he ever call you a racist?

0:59:22 Thomas: Oh boy. You know, the Sackler family, the ones that, you know, got millions and millions of people addicted to opioids and killed a bunch of people. Why do you hate them so much? Did they ever call your racist?

0:59:34 Thomas: Did, oh boy. Oh, um, okay. Good timing, as I was definitely way over time here and about to call it, um. Carlson just released a video. So I'm glad I just barely snagged that. Is interesting. So no doubt you will have seen this by now, but he just released a video that was, you, but it was just him talking about how he's the only truth teller in the world. No one tells the truth.

But I, I'll say, long story short, he ends the video with "see you soon." And the emphasis of the video is like, boy, where can you find truth tellers these days? Am I right? There's nobody tells the true truth, except obviously implying I'm the only one that tells, and uh, truth will out, so see you soon, uh, it heavily implies that he's, yeah, maybe he's finding some way to be on some other platform of some kind.

It really, okay, so I, I will amend what I said a little bit, uh, it looks like that's the clear direction he's taking, um, thought he was going to be maybe stuck not competing for a while, but it's looking like maybe not, for one ever reason or another. I mean, he always, I guess, had the option to just break his contract or something. There's probably penalties, but maybe he figures whatever he can generate himself is worth that. So who knows?

Maybe we'll find out more, but it looks like that might be what he's doing. He might be going somewhere else. I still stand by my prediction though, that I don't think he will be as big a force as he was last week. I think that'll be his high point. That's my, my prediction, I'm not saying I'm 100% certain on that. I'm just saying that seems to be what the data has shown. And I'm curious.

I wanted to put that out there so that, I don't know, we can kind of see. Will he buck that trend and somehow remain as popular or become more popular after leaving Fox? I doubt it. I doubt, I think he will be successful, but not as successful as he was. So there you go. There's a bunch of thoughts about that whole thing. I wanted to share. I hope you enjoyed that. Tucker Carlson. I cannot fucking believe how horrible he was and is.
